Is having pelvic floor dysfunction since being a toddler rare ? I'm a 44/m. I can remember the symptoms as far back as 4 but i believe it all stemmed from a traumatic incident at 18 months old that I've always remembered. So it may have actually started that early. I guess my question is: is the severity of my pelvic floor dysfunction far greater than most people? Do I need to see a specialist instead of doing these videos and this program? or would you say the structured program could probably cover it? THanks :)

Hi, have you heard about involuntary abdominal guarding? If so what to do about? Many thanks.
@TheFlowerEmpowered2 жыл бұрын
Hi Gerald, yes, I have heard about it. In what context are you asking? In relation to this style of yoga or??
@geraldkurkjian29222 жыл бұрын
Thanks your response. Is there a link between these guys: sacrococcyx, urethro-rectal, pubis and abdomen? Mainly due to falls...horse and stairs.
@TheFlowerEmpowered2 жыл бұрын
So the sacrum and coccyx are bones connected to each other. Urethro-rectal most likely refers to the space between the urethra (pee pipe) and rectum (poop pipe). The pubis refers to the pubic bone at the front where the left and right portions of the pelvis are connected. There are many connections between all of these areas. If you are wondering if involuntary guarding of the abs can impact pelvic floor function, the answer would be yes. If you have had a lot of falls, that can also impact pelvic floor function. Have you been to see a pelvic floor physiotherapist?

Could You write down the size and mark of your bolster please? I appreciate your work so much!❤️
@TheFlowerEmpowered2 жыл бұрын
Yes of course! Sorry for the late reply, I have been traveling. The bolsters I use are from a company called Yogamatters. You can get them on Amazon: geni.us/CkwWVW but I think they are only available in the UK and Germany stores. The link should find similar in your local store if you are not in those places. The cover is cotton, the inside is buckwheat and the dimensions are 64 x 22 x 22 cm; 4.94 Kilograms. Thats an amazon affiliate link btw, so if you use it, I will make a small commission 😊 Let me know if you have more questions and good luck with your practice 🌸

Is this reverse kegel or regular kegel?
@TheFlowerEmpowered2 жыл бұрын
This is neither. It’s Yin yoga which is helpful for relaxing the pelvic floor.

Any chance you could do a full video for tight pelvic floor muscles with exercises for individuals who are not very flexible. Thanks

Yes! I actually have this on my list as I have received quite a few requests. I will try to get to it within the next few weeks.
