I just want to thank you so much for doing these videos. I’m a young girl with a lot of physical trauma from over a half-year of three continuous (and very large) utis at once. My pelvic floor muscles were so tight that when I went for a surgery to help with it, my doctor was amazed that even under general anesthesia, my pelvic floor muscles were incredibly tight. This video especially helps me to relax as I recover from that surgery and hopefully get better and better. To anyone else out there like me: you’re not alone, and we will get through this! Especially with channels like The Flower Empowered. And of course, to anyone that has beat a problem like this and taken their lives back: congratulations, I’m happy for you and I hope that I will soon reach that stage as well with this channel! Thank you!!

@Mr. MindOverMatter Yes so many doctors told me it was all in my head. I went to so many doctors that I can’t even remember most of their names. If you suspect a hidden infection, I’d look for a doctor with a good lab. Different labs test for different strains of bacteria, and unfortunately not many labs are as thorough as possible. I’m not sure what area you’re looking for a doctor in, but the best I can do is tell you to look into it. If there is no infection, or if an infection is found and treated and you still have symptoms, you may have pelvic floor dysfunction like I did. If this ends up being the case, I’d suggest finding a pelvic health and wellness center near you.

@@veronicaaguayo5580 hopefully you’re feeling better by now. IMHO these exercises can only do good. I’ve just done them today and it felt much looser and comfortable. Hello, I just wanted to say a huge thank you! I can only imagine that you get hundreds of these messages everyday, but I'm 29 years old and have NEVER been able to insert a tampon neither any forms of penetration (which has often resulted in episodes of avoidance and many shed tears). After doing this video in addition to your ' how to use dilators' video for the past 2 weeks I've finally been able to insert a tampon.. which I know sounds insignificant but has had such huge implications on both a physical and emotional level. I now have the confidence to not only use dilators but also use tampons which for the past 15 years I've always thought to be truly impossible. I know I'm still at the beginning of my journey but THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Xx

@@aashvisworld685 that is terrible and I am so sorry you are going through that! I had mine for about 2 months. I read about surgery as an option but was hoping I wouldn't need that and thankfully I healed once my doctor prescribed nifedipine which helped bring blood to my fissures. I also did a lot of Epsom baths to help bring warmth to the area. I hope you find a solution soon.

I'm glad you found some relief with this one. The nervous system cannot tell when danger (in this case the UTI) has left. Relaxation exercises and practices that calm the nervous system can dramatically help to calm the bladder. There are lots of relaxation videos in this playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLTrM-0Yl3Pcs-vpFq9mYzeDyIXDaittaq I have also written a book in which I offer lots of symptom management strategies to help reduce the irritation and to relax the bladder. @@sephorareynolds5786 I deal with this a lot due to endometriosis, past chronic utis and a tilted uterus, hypertonic pelvic muscles/PFD and pelvic organ prolapses I'm trying to heal from. If you don't have a UTI, that burning can definitely be from hypertonic pelvic muscles. Our bodies are funny things sometimes. Doing pelvic relaxation exercises from the videos on this channel and femfusion fitness can make a huge, magical difference. Also destress as much as you can, eat well, move your body, meditate or just relax and listen to soothing music or affirmations. It takes a little work and time to relax those muscles but if that's the issue, these things can turn everything around for you. Of course, see your doctor and explain everything and you should see a good pelvic physiotherapist to determine if this is your issue. I hope this helps. Dealing with a lot of pelvic issues and general health issues myself so I know how things like this can be devastating, especially when it's hard to get help or answers from your doctor. They also recommended pelvic floor exercises. I found this video and just watched it to get an idea of what I'll need and to prepare myself. Hi Laura, thank you for sharing! With the ball exercise, you should build up slowly, starting with smaller/softer ball and with a shorter time to start. Just think of it as a yin yoga pose that allows you to stretch a part of your body that is a little harder to get to 😊

Hi I’ve suffered with pain and spasm everyday for last 5 years in my levator ani muscles on my right side. I’ve been told it came about due to me tensing these muscles when I became anxious. And it then became i vicious cycle. This video has really helped and the squat move you do especially. Do you think it’s possible to rid myself of pain completely if I keep these release exercises up and also what’s your opion on biofeedback treatment?
@TheFlowerEmpowered
@TheFlowerEmpowered 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Nick, it is definitely possible to rid yourself of pain. I view these exercises as a way to communicate with your nervous system that things are ok. The more you practice relaxing and letting go, the easier it will be to relax your pelvic floor. I would add yoga nidra body-scanning meditation exercises and that will further help you to release tension in the body. Biofeedback tells you what the muscle tone is at a given time. I would always ask “why” are going to do it. Let me know how you get on 🙂
@fabritzeo

The Flower Empowered thank you for your reply, I will definitely have a look at the yoga you suggested and keep up the pelvic floor release exercises. I just heard about biofeedback could be good because I feel I’ve subconsciously held tension in those muscles for so long I think my brain has forgotten who to let go and relax. It’s like I said even when I’m not having a spasm I feel like my attention is constantly on that place and I didn’t know if biofeedback could my help relearn how to let that muscle relax again. I will keep you updated for sure and thank you for your great videos Nick

Thank you so much I did 2 years of physical therapy for my hip popping out of place so all my ligaments get really tight and I’m a singer so I support from my pelvis and it just aches sometimes after

Bè gentle with your body if your hip has been popping. Some gentle stretching and strengthening should help. Your physio can guide you as to which positions you should focus on 😊🌸

thank yo so much for sharing this! i came here from another of your videos about rebalancing a tight pelvic floor (or sth like this), which didn't seem to help me much. this one felt much better - apart from the pigeon, that just hurt, no matter how much i propped... - pain is still there, but better. i had two unwanted pregnancies and two abortions and find it quite impossible to relax when it comes to sex, which always ends up in pain, sometimes lasting for three or four days. i'll try more of your videos.

For pigeon, this video shows some adaptations: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4KXanaah55go9E Definitely worth finding a version in which you can relax. Sorry to hear you have had such a hard time with everything. Maybe it helps to know that you are not alone 🌸💕

I stumbled upon this video from a recommendation from a stranger on Reddit. I have no idea what’s going on, but I’ve had crazy left hip area pain for nearly a year. Was enjoying a good run five times a week and yoga etc. this stopped all of that, the pain was so intense. Doctor just wants to prescribe medication with no sort of PT or testing...?!After just one round of this i feel a relief! Thank you so much! The one stretch with the knee bent and leg stretched behind I feel is the one that is helping me the most. Thank you! So so so much! I shall keep trying this and doing more research. THANK YOU!

Thanks for the positive feedback Elizabeth! The pose you felt relief in is known as pigeon pose (or sleeping swan in Yin. One of my own favorites. I would always recommend PT and a movement modality before pain meds. Good luck with your rehab ❤️

It’s ok to practice this yoga as a male. For the ball sitting, use a single sock rather than a ball. The purpose is to just put something small under your perineum to make it easier to relax. Let me know how it goes 😊

I generally advise trying multiple poses to find the ones that work best for the specific lines if tension in your body. You’ll likely find a few that work really well. This link is for a longer video that has some other poses: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIi0qKicjr6LbM0 Try it and see if it helps 💖

This is really weird but I have IBS as well as this pelvic pain. And the whole time my pelvic pain has been flared up, I’ve also been unbelievably constipated and bloated. As soon as I did the stretches in the video, not only did my pelvic pain disappear but I also was able to go to the toilet. (Sorry if TMI!) i don’t know if they are linked somehow but it seems to have helped all my problems! Thanks so much for this!
@TheFlowerEmpowered
@TheFlowerEmpowered 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are linked! And it’s not TMI on this channel 😁👍🏻 A tight pelvic floor can cause constipation as in can interrupt the reflexes of defecation. Making it difficult to empty. I’m so glad this helped 😊
