@@wearelindywell oh I’ve already done the free trial haha and LOVED IT. Someone at my church told me about you and that’s how I found you. Unfortunately right now it’s not in the budget 😒. Praying soon it may be.

I think it is important to include the contraction of the diaphragm given that you stress breathing as an integral part of pelvic floor awareness and activation. Your coaching pelvic floor lift on the inhalation, while the diaphragm contraction is counteracting and negative to that instruction. Therefore, I think it is essential to include the main mechanism of respiration in the context of the instructional.

You are literally doing Kegel's my friend... The language of drawing up and lifting is great, and I like the tissue drawing up. But no need to confuse the issue and call it something other than a kegel.

Thank you so much for sharing! While Kegel exercises focus on the pelvic floor supporting bladder health and bowel control, Pilates helps to engage the entire core beyond the pelvic floor - abs, glutes, back, hips, even the rib cage and diaphragm, all help towards supporting balance, strength, and stability.

Right? Sure it is pelvic floor excersise. But calling the video "no more kegels" when half if it is Kegels is a little disingenuous

Tell me please, how is the breathing? For ex.when you do the squat and lifting. When you are down, you inhale and release the pelvic floor muscles?
@wearelindywell Жыл бұрын
In general, you can exhale when you are exerting yourself, so inhale down, exhale up. But we would recommend that you breath in the way that helps you feel your best!

Can I do this if I had a hysterectomy

As we know that each situation is unique, we would recommend speaking with your doctor or physical therapist to get your individual recommendations in the exercises that are best for you. If you are cleared for exercise and Pilates, then this may be a great option!
