15 Minute Zone Cleaning | The Power of 15 Minutes |Flylady Zone 4

Got me motivated, so I paused video at 19 minutes & mopped my kitchen, sunroom, laundry room, back entry (pugs’ bedroom & eating area), & hall bathroom. I’ve kind of had a breakthrough a few days ago re: zone cleaning. I’ve done FlyLady for years, sort of, but could never get all of the components incorporated. I so identified with you in an earlier video when you talked about wanting to get your control journal all perfect but stopped yourself. I’ve really had to embrace what Dana K. White & others says: Good enough is good enough! I’m really bad about the whole perfectionism thing. A good example is feeling I had to vacuum immediately before mopping. Well, I have a big house & a lot of tile, so I vacuumed yesterday & made myself not move all of the furniture like I normally do. (Vacuuming takes me FOREVER & is exhausting. My husband does it sometimes & always offers, but I have found that if I do it first thing after coffee in the morning while he’s upstairs working out, then I can get it done quickly.) Anyway, I vacuumed yesterday & didn’t have a nervous breakdown over not mopping until this morning. I always dread doing the floors & especially mopping. So yay me!

I think this is one of the best videos you have done. While I didn't do the bathroom I got the sink cleaned and laundry folded, and you gave me a lot of ideas for the bathroom. Your bathroom is pristine by the way. I am looking forward to my bathroom zone clean now.

Thank you! This is exactly the kind of video that help me. I like that you used/showed the timer so I could actually see how long you spent on the tasks. While other cleaning videos are motivating, I never know how long it actually takes them to get those things done, especially when they are sped up. Great video as usual. I have been binge watching your channel the last two weeks to keep me motivated. I am surprised that you get mildew or mold. I used to use bleach until I moved on a sailboat to live, Talk about mold. LOL I learned that bleach etches your finish and encourages growth because mold then has something to hold on to. Since then I only use vinegar and water. I have not used bleach in 15 years and never have mold. One thing that helps is to open shower doors and window every so often to get fresh air circulating. By the way I live South of you in the Daytona Beach area in a house now. Keep the motivation coming.

I don’t do Fly Lady Routine but I do Tiny Tidies but usually takes me 20 minutes sometimes 30 minutes. I kinda do my own zone cleaning routine based on fly lady well sort of 🥴

I don’t usually measure….I know I use more vinegar than dish soap.
