I had to stop the video in order to comment that your sweater fits so well with your hair, nails and make up. Everything is so well put together, it's so delightful to look at. (I hope there is not too many grammar mistakes, not my strong point in English language)

And now I noticed that blue in your sweater matches so well with your eyes!

The best laundry advice I ever got was to have a hamper for each person in the house, in each of their bedrooms. Also have multiple clean laundry baskets. No more sorting for 7 people!!Four of the five kids now do their own laundry, too, which is great.

This is so helpful! I've never been able to figure out the Zone Cleaning thing. I'm not much of a book learner and your videos are filling in the gaps! I'm an American living on a farm in Scotland and we have a tiny 100 year old stone farmhouse. It's a beautiful little house but a real challenge to keep neat and tidy with 5 of us living here! Have a lovely day!

I like to do reading and cleaning sprints. So I read for 15 minutes and clean for 15 minutes for like a 20 hours span. It's hugely motivating for me and also i get to do something I really want to do while doing something I don't really want to do. haha

Excited to watch more of your videos :) I started the FlyLady system back in June or July and it (and a separate decluttering overhaul project) is finally allowing me to get control of my home. I’m dialed in on daily routines and the weekly home blessing, but the zone cleaning messes me up each time I try to jump in. Working to figure out how to adjust it for my home!
@MyMerryMessyGermanLife2 жыл бұрын
The key really is to make it work for you and your own personality and needs. I think that’s the only at this system works long term, so it sounds like you’re off to a great start!

Thank you for sharing your guidance with fly lady system. I have been trying to learn as much as I can and re-program my mind to get into this habit. I have been watching a lot of different KZbin videos about this. I think you are the first to emphasize that some items on the checklist will require attention. That is a relief. Although, with my wild bunch, I may not have that luxury. Lol! Thanks again!!

This is my second time trying out the flylady method (the first time I used it for a few weeks and had to leave from home for more than a month and when I returned that was that! 😅). In another month I have to do the same, but I hope I manage to get back to it. I got a smartwatch recently and I have been using that one as a timer, since there isn't any distraction there. I think it's one of its most used features in my case 😁. I am using the app and I really like it, I wish it kept a history of all that I did everyday/week, etc.... I am really struggling with the kitchen this week, going to watch your video to see if I can improve it somehow!

I started Flylady a few months ago and love it. Only problem I have is I often forget to set my timer 😖. If the binder doesn't appeal to you there is an Flylady app.

Ok, great information! Question: On this system, when are all bathrooms being cleaned fully (tub, shower, etc.) weekly (as bathrooms that children/adults are using daily) need to be cleaned weekly? I’m asking since daily cleaning or zone cleaning (unless you’re in that zone) covers this (and would mean you’re not fully cleaning a bathroom that lives in different zones only once a month).
@username000092 ай бұрын
Sinks and toilets are cleaned daily as part of the “swish and swipe” routine; mirrors can easily be added to the swish and swipe routine once established and if needed. Floors are speed cleaned weekly. Anything else would be zone cleaning BUT the goal is to implement quick daily maintenance whenever possible - a common example is keeping a squeegee in the shower to squeegee the glass daily. If your personal situation means you need to make some minor adjustments (like a weekly deep scrubbing of all bathtubs and showers due to hard water, soap scum, volume of people bathing), then feel free to make those one-off adjustments. If you can handle the cutesy language and influx of emails, then signing up for the FlyLady daily emails can be helpful because they occasionally share testimonials (including reader tips on how they’ve adjusted the routines to work for them).

Hi Sarah I'm not a mom just a retired dog owner who would love to learn easier methods of keeping our home manageable and clean. My adult brother and I share a cottage and as we age we are finding many activities challenging because of health issues lack of strength poor mobility and even motivation! We have a gorgeous but boisterous Springer spaniel puppy who at 6months old is already a great escape artist and demolition expert but we love him. I am hoping someone will be able to offer us helpful hints on managing more easily! God bless from vera in Northern Ireland.

Lol, that little Springer will begin to calm down when she’s 13😂 yep…. Guess how I know!!!…. I taught my dogs to help with task… carrying the washing, putting their toys away etc…. They’re so smart, & need to use those brains in a positive way - good luck👩🌾

Do you do your Zone cleaning on a Weekly Home Blessing day ? Which do you do first - the Zone or the WHB ?

How do you break up your home if you have a very large home?
@MyMerryMessyGermanLife2 жыл бұрын
It can be tricky - but it is broken up through the zone cleaning method. With a larger home, you’d clean 2-3 rooms or areas each week instead of one.
