He gets to his point starting around 9 min. But listening to the first 3 min helped contextualize it.

Burnout is a blind spot that has helped you survive throughout your younger years, once you recognize this you wont get burned out anymore, but recognizing this is extremely difficult because you're used to react this way

What do you mean by blind spot? Like we unconsciously lean towards not seeing the things we feel pressured to do?

@@VerrisinThanks!!! I was trying to find reviews avoid his 77 euro a month online programme. Although recently I got access to a real psychiatrist. But the frequency of contact is not enough.. I needed something to practice every day. But I already have some advice which I'm supposed to take action on daily. I guess I'm just too impatient after so many years of mystery. I first need to do the work, then hope for change

I have a burnout from stress and working too much, while having depression so bad I have close to no energy to work on anything. What should I do? - *Work on it every day*

Martin Verrisin I have a similar problem. I have to force myself to find quiet ways to recharge. What 3 thinks make you feel relaxed or calm and pleasure. I like to walk in the sunshine, leave my phone in my car and do a walking meditation. I also like to ride my horse. These work for me but you have to think of something you like. Also take high levels of omega 3 fats. 1800 mg of DHA and EPA and I use a sad light every morning and I feel best when I can spend 5 minutes every morning meditating. He is giving you the 20 min talk. I hope my 1 minute version is helpful. Start with one small thing.

How is your stress and depression? Are you better?
@Verrisin
@Verrisin 3 жыл бұрын
@@vaivaivanauskiene822 Thanks for asking. It's...not great, but I'm still alive. - I have more or less managed to do all the work that was necessary, and I am even doing well from time to time... Still, most of the time, I am tired for no reason, unable to do much on top of what is absolutely necessary and enforced from outside...

@@Verrisin I am glad you manage to do your work and that you are still alive :-) I hope you will be able to enjoy your life fully one day! If you feel always tired, the question is, what time do you go to bed? Anyone with chronic fatigue should go to bed earlier, latest by 10pm. The nervous system rests then. Also reduce coffee and sugar etc... All the best!

Yeah that was very unclear and unhelpful. My doctor gave me advice to make sure to complete my stress cycles. So anytime I come home, take a break or before bed, I for example tense my whole body for 10 seconds, or pretend to physically beat up my stressors. And then relax. It has definitely helped in just few days.

Well there is definitely a correlation, but which causes the other? Are depressed people unable to get the motivation to work out or does working out fight depression. Probably both are true, but who knows where it starts.
@zmdeadelius
@zmdeadelius 5 жыл бұрын
In my experience, it's the misconception of motivation. People expect to feel really excited about running a stadium before running it, while motivation is the actual result of receiving the reward for the achievement. Or put in simple terms - to work out everyday, set your expectations correctly and accept that you won't be enjoying it in the beginning. Do it for the results, not for the excitement. Excitement will come after seeing the results. Wrong expectations are disappointing so they define poor performance - it's psychosomatic, if I may summarize it like that. Same goes for bad mood. When you are happy, you are smiling but when you are not happy and keep a smile, your mood improves. Our brain controls our body, but it's hardwired and we can override the brain through the body (to some extent, at least). Etcetera.

I have burnt out right now college is too much. I didnt think this was real
@Lafayette19P
@Lafayette19P 28 күн бұрын
It CAN be real. Or you might be depressed. You're young. In college... you didn't actually live yet. So it's hard to diagnose what's bothering you. But whatever it is: learn to deal with it, learn to cope. Otherwise thing can become a ife-long problem and you don't even know because than they've become just part of who you are, how you feel etc. Maybe college wasn't your choice. Or you thought it was but maybe because your oarents gave told you all of your young live you wanna study for this or that. Maybe it's something else you'd like. Better to find out at such a young age than very very much later un life that this was not the career path you would have chosen. And THAN you get to deal with the aftermath of your "wrong" choices and they will eventually turn out in medical issues. You can be grateful you grew up in an rra with acces to internet and various resources. I wish I have had that opportunity 4 decades ago. Just because unrecognized mental health issues eventually turn into medical issues, sometimes even cancer and death. But don't trust this guy who offers a course for 77 eruo a month. Totally not affordable for most people I know and coudes like his are also available for free. And than again: also don't blindly follow what's good for you and what not!! Everyone is unique and what works gor one will do the opposite for someone else. But in this day and age you have the world under your fingertips so do your research and listen to your gut feelin'!! Your body is trying to warn you day and night what's good advice and what not. And even myself in my young days always stepped on my own boundaries because I was raised that way: ignore your boundaries, you're just allowed to please me. Whoever that person was: my mom, or my husband and eventually my own brainwashed mind. I had internalized it!! So really... this is meant as a warning: stay true to yourself and you'll probably never get a burn-out ir depression. Your great great grandparent (4 generations back) were poor, worked their asses off. loved under horrible circumstances yet only 5% ever got "melancholic" as they called it back then. And now (I habit looked into the statistics for a while) but a wild guess that 50% of people have similar problems might be not far from the truth. And statistics always dot totally reliable because mental illness us still a taboo and people lie. They even lie to themselves to make their life somewhat more bearable. So even in an anonymous study you will not always find the right results LOL... reading KZbin comments will probably give you mote insight how peoole REALLY feel and/or think. Wish you healthy choices. You still have time.
