15 Minutes of Switchback VR Horde Mode Gameplay + Impressions

Switchback has released a brand new FREE DLC just in time for spooky season. Here are my first impressions and 15 minutes of no commentary gameplay.

Bought it yesterday, graphics are nice blacks and brights so vivid, enjoying it. It's been a great October so far and vertigo 2 on the way. Firewall also got a great patch yesterday

So i guess i will have to re install this one. This was definitely a nice surprise! I beat this game on the second of this month it was my first spooky season game i best and loved every minute of it. They really amped up the speed man!!

Happy spooky season AJ! Tomorow I'll be grabbing 2 🎃 from the local pumpkin patch so I'm super excited to keep a traditional classic Halloween! I can handle this game but man Propagation??? HOLAY FNG shit I need to man up and grow a pair for that joint. I always play with one finger above the Pause button just in case an inevitable jump scare shows its ugly head 😂 I know I'm a gamepussy lol

I LOVE RUNNER... Yeah it's a bit tough at first but then you become the ultimate badass, and it's just so well designed. Glad you gave it another go!

I ended up going to the games main page, there's a download dlc option. Then start the game. Just doing the update doesn't give you access to the game.

What's the purple skull meter that you fill up around the enemy count? Does that make the soul cannon appear in between levels if you fill it up?

Correct! I had to re-record the intro and forgot that part… but it’s a nice new mechanic that incentivizes headshots.

Aim for consecutive headshots and the meter will go up. Once you've filled it, you have the opportunity to obtain Belial's gun for the next wave!

The pacing in the base game seems awful. I have no clue what they were going and just sitting in a rail cart waiting for scenes to trigger is a pain. I’ll have to give the horde mode a spin.

That was my main complaint with the game. Way too much hanging around for something to happen. I still really enjoyed the game but the pace sucked. If had less waiting around, more levels and enemy and more weapons, I’m this game would have been incredible. As it is, I just think it’s a pretty fun experience. Oh I absolutely hated those random items littered throughout the levels, with the yellow stars, that you had to shoot to get higher score. It just annoyed me and even when I tried to simply ignore them, I had that nagging in my mind saying, you know your fucking up your high score and I’m like, oh fuck sake. If I could juat accept and ignore those things, experience would be more fun. I actually played through the game in 2 sittings and I’ll probably jump back in and check out hoard mode and go through single player again.

So I ended up going to the games page and you have to click a download option. Then open the game and it will be under downloads

Where do you find option to start Horde Mode? Is it required to complete the main game before this mode can be accessed? I already have the latest patch and the Horde Mode add-on separately installed, but don't find any option to start Horde Mode from the main menu where you can select New Ride or Continue Ride or check Journey So Far.

It’s at the main menu, says “downloadable content”. I have completed the main game but not sure if that’s a requirement or if it’s not fully live yet. I have an Australian copy of the game that the dlc dropped early for.

@@PSVRUNDERGROUND The game patched and the add-on is available in the US store to add-to-library, and I also installed the download of that. I don't get "downloadable content" option in the main menu, so it must require that main game be completed before that will be available.
