In Japan, a red circle always means correct or yes and a blue X always means incorrect or no. That's why those are the colors for those buttons on the older Playstation controllers as well.

7:19 Nintendo of Korea was established after the launch of the DS, and the Nintendo games/consoles before were released through collaborations with other companies. The Gamecube was released in korea as just an import, meaning it didn't have a unique region code. The only translated and localised parts were the boxes, manuals, discs and such, which was the case for prior console launches as well, though some games like Pokemon were translated. And since the Wii got its own region code through an official release by Nintendo of Korea, the games were incompatible, and since no Gamecube game ever releases through Nintendo of Korea, you couldn't play any GC games on a Korean Wii.

The reason the Check Mii Out Channel has a Mii on a mountain in the Japan version is because at the end of a contest the Mii you uploaded or selected would climb a mountain. Depending on how well they did they would change how high they went up the mountain. The reason the icons for the Forecast Channel are more cartoonish in Japan is since Japan weather channels use similar icons while other parts of the would use more realistic icons. I also find it interesting how the Japan version of Wii Party has an outline over the text while the US version doesn't. They use the Outline design for Wii Party U. It would be cool to see a part two about DS regional differences.

1:51 that’s incorrect, in japan, a blue cross (batsu ばつ) means “no” or “no good” while as you said the red circle (maruまる)means “yes” or “good”, also thwre are games internationally that still use the maru/batsu symbols (example cooking mama games)

Something I find interesting is with Rhythm Heaven Fever The PAL version could technically be considered the definitive version since, even though almost all of the epilogue text for each game was changed, this version allows you to switch between English and Japanese vocals, something neither the US or JP version have

For some odd reason, this video just makes me want to have the Wii back as one of the "New" consoles... maybe Nintendo's next console could combine aspects from both the Switch and Wii, like a unique looking menu that could be navigated by hand-held, home-docked, and hopefully a "Wii Styled" mode with a point and press style, somehow get backwards compatibility with old Wii remotes (or just make a revamped version of the Wii remote and nunchucks for that console), and hopefully some built-in apps (which could be uninstalled and re-installed from their shop thing) that give it some unique characteristic like the old Wii apps did. Sure, Nintendo's next-gen console might not be something trying to be an "all-in-one" kind of thing the Wii was aiming for, but at least give us some optional features that could give the console some more uses than to play games (I think it would br funny in the next gen dock, if it combines aspects with the Wii, to have a disc reader that can read and play Wii games... and of course read and play movies)

Japanese version of Rhythm Heaven fever also have an entire exclusive minigame that gets cut in Worldwide releases: Manzai. Most likely due to the cultural knowledge and localization headaches the minigame would bring since it relies heavily on understanding Manzai and the jokes are all Japanese puns. Even though the country of release for each Wii determines the starting space in Wii Party Globe Trot, if the language on each one determined the starting point too, the American English version starts in the States, the Latin Spanish version would start in Mexico, and the Canadian French version would start in Canada! In Europe, the British English version would start in the UK, the Castilian Spanish version would start in Spain, the European French version would start in France, the German version starts in Germany, and the Italian version would start in Italy!

Namely that both R.O.B. and HVC-012 exist in BOTH Asian and Western versions of the game - the difference is in which one you are allowed to unlock.
