My grandpa always told me fly fishing is more of the social good Ole boys club way. If you want to catch fish use your spinning reel haha😂. Heading up to Pagosa for vacation in a couple weeks wanted to scope out the fishing a bit great video, really enjoyed the drone footage!

You're going to enjoy it. The water flows a little heavy this time of year, so you may struggle to find fish, but it's important to move around and adjust where your baits are, whatever you're using. There are some really nice fish in that river though.

@Troutdoors Thanks for the advice! I'm from north Texas so I'm just looking forward to that cool mountain air! Any fish caught will be a bonus!

@@adamwhat84 If you have the time, check out the piedra River also. If you Google fishing spots on the Piedra River, Colorado... You'll find out how to access it. It's not far from Pagosa. Good luck. Let me know how you do

That was a productive 15 mins! I guess there's no escaping the heat wave even all the way out in Colorado! I was up near Big Bear this past weekend and it hit 90 degrees by 9AM!

Those were 15 minutes of fun 🤩 time. Last time I use a Thomas I hooked up a 6 pound bow. Fun video 👉🏻🎣🎣

You never know what you'll hook with the Thomas on the line that's for sure! Find lure no matter where you're tossing it

Run off can go into July depending on the snow year. That particular year of this video they had quite a bit of snow.

Man!! Such a cool spot, I could spend all day out there. I bet when the water/temps are cooler it’s completely wide open. Healthy looking fish though.

Yeah going to be hard not to go back and fish this whole area pretty hard in the fall.

I bet they stock that river with those Nebraska tail walkers trout. They sure fight like them. They use to stock them a few years ago at Santa Ana River Lake And I think Lake Poway in San Diego. They were hard to catch they would throw the hook when they jump or break your line.

The fish in this River come out of the Durango Fish hatchery. They have a ton of their own hatcheries in Colorado.
