Don’t worry about autism. It made a joke comment the reason is so many people compare their babies and either feel they have a genius or something is wrong. All kids learn on their own.
@Firrodrigolosofia2 жыл бұрын
@@JezebelIsHongry Hi thanks for passing by and being kind. MY daughter is now 1 year and 11 months she is autistic indeed. Her pediatrician and neurologist gave us the diagnosis with medical report and etc. But so far so good, she is trying to walk only now, and is still delayed in some areas of development, but at the same time she does impressive things, she already understands basic mathd and logical thinking, can use my smartphone without issues but can't drink her own milk, it is like she is afraid of holding it. Itnis really really hard to descibe her since a kid is always different from the others but when we talk about autism the difference in the individuality is doubled if not exponential. Delays in some areas, astonishing achievements in others. Can't say mom or dad properly, but does the alphabet from a to z in two languages, I wonder if I can handle that, not like she is a genius or something, is just the how enigmatic an autistic child is, I am trying my best to catch up her approching, she is not a very sweet child she is like "please don't touch me" but she is adorable in her own way, because an autistic person has sensories issues due to the overwhelming brain cells that are working different from me and my wife. Yes, since I did the post you commented we've been having situations where we missed the point so many times when educating her that our struggle to adapt only led us to doctors, and here we are, now we now what to do, where to start being parents and, finally with therapies, and medical assistance we are going to try to give her the best way possible to grow being herself. The most dificcult thing about raising and autistic child is that you have to predict her communications, her pain and joy. She cries terribly loud if a stranger talks or interacts to her, only trusts in 3 people, her aunt, my wife and me but she never cried when sick form urinal infection, we only knew she was bodered because we measured her temperature and was having fever. Got hospitalized... Its hard to tell the difference from an autistic repulsive and sensorial behavior from just being sutbborn. If she is acting bad we correct and teach her, but only now me and my wife are being able to tell the difference, but for most people is just a kid who hates people and is way too spoiled. She is indeed spoiled, but not like we want to give her more than she needs, or just giving what her wants, we spoiled her in the sense of physical and enviromental and sensory protection, the biggest problem she has with sensories are her ears. She can't stand noised and loud sounds. We NEEDED to buy her a protective reductive sound protector phones, and she is just fine using them. We have been learning a lot, because we are always trying to catch up and be equalized with her most basic needs, while most people already thing they know everything about children and autism, and belive me, most people can't even grasp the surface on the subject, just like I did when I first posted my comment which you repplied. And btw, tks again.

Mine is 15 months and doesn't have any words or approximations, only makes a small number of consonant sounds (b, d, m) and vowel sounds (eh, ah) and doesn't babble much at all. I'm concerned but nobody is taking me seriously. He does have a couple of gestures but I've had to teach them to him over and over every single day for months before they've clicked (head shake, clap, wave).

Omg my little is one is only now starting to walk , all the other activities are definitely coming along , I can’t wait to try the scribbling . But it’s really great to have some of these for reference as to what to do at home with my little one. We have just moved to a different city and are still adjusting looking for a daycare centre so for now baby will be at home with me and I was hoping not to slow down the amazing progress that he got from his previous day care centre. I am however struggling with food. I tend to give him the same things due to availability and he is therefore really picky with his food. 🙈 I’m really struggling with that . Because we are in between teething and he hates everything. He used to eat almost everything, when he was younger. Now he just says no! First time mama any advice will be appreciated.

When Ainsley is speaking the approximations at the 9:40 - 10:00 mark in the video, is she repeating those words after you say them or is she saying them independently while engaged with the object/activity? If it is a mixture of both repeating after you and independently saying words, how much would you say is her independently saying the words? I really am curious to see how you respond, as this would be very helpful for us understanding where our child, whose name is also Ainsley, is in terms of speaking. We are big fans of the West Wing. ; 0 )
@CarnahanFam3 жыл бұрын
That's a great question! To be honest, since it was so long ago, I don't remember which we had modeled to her and which she was saying independently but I know many of them she could say without prompting at the time such as "help" "sit" "bow" etc. though I'm pretty sure I was modeling apple for her in this clip, just by the way she said it! Say hello to your sweet Ainsley for us! 💛

My kid barely says 1 word (bye) at 15 months yet the Dr says she’s not autistic or yet considered speech delayed. I do everything I have learnedly from channels like this, professional blogs and advice from the Dr herself, yet I can’t get her to say her 2nd word. She’s good with puzzles. Figured out stacking rings the first time we placed it in front of her at 6 months. Figured out the blocks. Stacks them 4 or 5 at a time, even making sure the bottom ones are balanced before she continues stacking. Figured out closing a bottle with a cap at 7 months. Actually, she’s obsessed and fixated on bottle caps. Walked at 10 months, yet she can’t figure out language. Two Drs say she isn’t autistic because she makes eye contact. I don’t know what gives.

Hey! I'm not sure what state you are in but in Florida there is an early steps program. You can refer yourself and they will do a questionaire to evaluate your baby on if they qualify for services such as speech therapy. It's all free here(until age 2 or 3), maybe your state has something similar.
@hannahnitishin94383 жыл бұрын
@@cmw09e I used to work for the program in my state (Ky) and there is an early intervention program in all 50 states but they’re all called something different.
@jasropergoins24683 жыл бұрын
Similar situation here. I contacted Early Intervention for my state (NJ). Through the evaluation he was eligible for a teacher and speech therapist. They meet with him virtually 2xs a month and provide different activities to practice with him/focus on in order to help him with his communication. I had him evaluated at 6 and 9 months as well because he was born premature. He wasn't eligible then (he was on track with what babies typically do at that age). You can Google "Early Intervention _(your state)___" and contact early intervention for an evaluation. Good luck and continue to be your child's advocate ❤️
