The only milestone she's struggling with at 2 months is tummy time on the floor. She has great head control, but god forbid you have her do it on the floor. I've tried having her use a boppy, but she just isn't having it.

Tummy time is often challenging for bub's under 3 months of age. It's great that you have already tried the boppy pillow with her. In this video, I cover other ways to make tummy time easier- including 4 other ways to do tummy time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWiam2Nre5mYmrs I hope it helps!

With my daughter, I've figured something out. She would happily do the tummy time in her crib but not floor. I figured that the open space was the problem for her. She felt safe in the crib but not the floor. So what I've done is spend most of the tummy time in her crib then moved her to the floor and slowly decreased the time in the crib and increased it on the floor. After about 5 days of this, she was totally fine on the floor!

Hi there, I’ve got a question. My baby seems to be hitting all her milestones exceptionally early-she’s always way ahead of what’s typical. For example, the things people say a two-month-old should be doing, she was already doing them shortly after we left the maternity ward. By two months, she was rolling from back to front and front to back. At four months, she was crawling and sitting up on her own. By six months, she was standing with support, and now, at eight months, she’s standing completely unassisted. She doesn’t have any known health issues. While I’m proud of how quickly she’s developing, as a first-time mum, it’s hard not to worry. Whenever I try to read up on what’s normal for babies, I realise she’s always ahead of the curve-even with her language skills, but that’s another matter. It makes me wonder: is this advanced development entirely normal, or could it be a sign of something underlying? Thank you❤

Something underlying like negative? If she’s ahead of the curve, just enjoy her development.

@@ztfb139 That's a kind of an uncharitable assumption to make, isn't it?? If I were in their position I'd be a little concerned too. I work with children with autism and, while many are developmentally behind in some ways they can also be very ahead in a lot of other ways. I'm not saying AT ALL that this is the case with OP's child, I work with older children already diagnosed and have no knowledge of infant development or how it can or even if it can show signs this early. But as a first time mom myself - and I'm assuming as someone who is or has been a first time mom yourself - I think we can extend the slightest bit of freaking empathy towards a fellow mom whose child is showing signs of atypical development, regardless of whether in our unscientific minds it is a good sign or a bad sign.

@@MoreLikeMerMad Hi,I really appreciate your reply. I chose to ignore the first responses I received. I'm trying to connect with moms (or dads) who might have gone through the same thing with their little one. I live in a country where this kind of information is hard to come by, even from a pediatrician, so KZbin and social media seem like the best places to find similar stories and the advice that comes with them

Thank you for this. My daughter is 11 weeks and this is handy. Any advice on bedtime. Her current bedtime is around 11.30pm till 11am with one feed in between.

So good that this video came out at the right time for your little one! Late bedtimes before 3 months is unfortunately pretty common. Between 3- 4 months your little one's bedtime should start to shift to an earlier time. But you can encourage this by shifting her wake up time and bedtime 15 minutes earlier every few days. I hope that helps!

Thank you very much, just in time for our 8-week-old. Should we already have some sort of schedule going? Apart from the relatively permanent nightly sleeptime, we only have chaos in the daytime. Thsnk you for maintaining s highly helpful channel! ❤

@adriennturi5650 unfortunately, at this age chaos during the day is very normal. Nap times and the duration of the naps vary from nap to nap and day to day. Although they don’t follow a strict nap schedule they do have anywhere from 4-6 naps per day. In my New Parents Guide to Naps I outline what you can expect from your little one in regard to naps from now until they end up dropping all naps in a few years time. It’s free. Here is the link in case you want a copy: brightestbeginning.com/nap-guide/?lead_source=KZbin_200

My husband and I were stunned when our first baby was born because at her birth, she held her head up 45° and looked at me right after the midwife placed her on my chest. She’s three and half weeks old now, and she has already met all of these milestones.

I find your videos very helpful, thank you for passing your knowledge. My little boy is having trouble with tummy time, everything else you mentioned at 2 months - he's on it! What would you suggest?

My 2mo has had great head control from early on, but I've not been great about tummy time and now I'm seeing that she isn't independently aligning her arms properly to lift her head up. When I align them for her, she looks great and has good form but her arms very quickly slide to the side and she's left just planking. How can I help encourage her to learn this skill?

I am curious to know if there is a correlation between bald patterns as a baby are the same as the bald patterns as an adult (for boys and men). Does anyone know?🤔
