Also a new mum to a 13 month old! One thing that has made both our lives so much more fun an easier to manage is going out to Early On classes. Not sure if you have them in your area. I live in Milton ontario.

Do you have advice for getting kids to stay in their room until Mom or Dad come get them?

We have safety things put in place so they can’t get out without us, letting them out. So Darin has a gate in his doorway so he has to wait for us to open it. Then Hudson and Lincoln have a safety door handle so they can’t open the door. Landon can open his gate and he’ll usually just hangout in the living room if he gets up before us.

My great grandmother has that same painting in her kitchen. Hoping it will be mine one day. Love your videos. I would be curious about what you feed your kids. My one year old only wants purées. He gags on textured foods. I’m hoping he grows out of it but I’ve been doing my research to help him through this phase. To be honest, I have two older kids and about 15 to twenty years ago we would introduce table food at 1yr and our kids would be eating table food well by 2yrs old. I was shocked to see everyone giving there babies table food at 6 months. I guess I’m still stuck in the old way of doing things. 😂 Anyhow, I’m curious about the different ways parents feed children with sensory issues. Thanks for sharing! ❤😊

Amazon has these absolutely gorgeous, *washable* area rugs at a great price. Different sizes and colors. I got one for my office, and even though it’s thin, it is literally the softest rug I have ever felt!! This rug is softer than some of our throw blankets lol and the colors are incredibly vibrant. I just thought that option might help you guys out some in the dining room 😊 it should be easy to find, but let me know if you want a link
