This video really hit home with me because I have 4 boys i definitely experienced gender disappointment for the first hour but after that I accepted what God wanted for my life and I was super happy about having a boy. I truly feel like I was meant to be a boy mom anyways and I’m so grateful for that but I definitely feel you and understand everything you said about the whole girl experience I would’ve loved to had that too! ❤ everyone was telling me you can just try for another one and it’ll be a girl and I’m like no I am 100% sure if I had another baby It would definitely be another boy and I would rather just stop now and enjoy my 4 boys haha congratulations on your 5th boy thats really cool! 💙 you’re a great boy mom too!

I'm a one and done and have baby girl, however I've been following you since you had Hudson and when I found out you were having Lincoln the first thought in my head was "Oh my gosh those boys are going to be there for each other for the rest of their lives, what an amazing bond to have with that many brothers." I understand the ache of not being able to experience the other side of the coin, but I know you find much peace knowing that your boys will be the strongest pack of brothers forever. You're doing great and who knows maybe one day one of your boys will have a daughter and that'll rock everyone's world! Much love, from Washington State, your family is beautiful.

I get how you’re feeling. I had two boys and then I was convinced my third was another boy. To my complete shock it was a girl. She’s two now and I still look at her in complete shock. But as much as it’s everything you dream of and more it’s quite frankly no different in a weird way. The novelty wears off and truly they are all the same 🤣 I hope this helps and also seriously seriously seriously you are going to be so well looked after and loved by all your 5 sons!!!! Maybe you could give your selves time and enjoy them so young and in 5 years put into adopt a girl perhaps 🙈🙊😝 anyways always watch you and rooting for your fam … Becky From the UK

Always wanted a girl, just knew it was a girl. My husband was dying for a baby girl and we both pictured nothing but a girl. We had 15 or more names for a girl, we had clothes put away for a girl that were meaningful and we ended up with a boy. Gender disappointment is so real. So many people don’t talk about it or admit it. People look down on and judge for it. Those people have either never experienced it, or don’t have kids period. Anyway!! Our sweet boy is our whole world and he has always been wanted, it was just a mind shift from years of planning girl and then accepting we would never have that. Never be ashamed! Many of us have felt the guilt and grief. God bless you, your whole family, and this sweet child coming February! Congratulations ❤

Awww, congratulations to you and your husband. I dealt with gender disappointment with my family. I didn't care. I have 5 boys and one girl. She is the second oldest, and I wanted another girl. But I was happy either way. Now, I get that at least you have a girl. There's never a balance lol.

I would caution you against doing anything permanent, you are still young and might find yourself in 5 years with no babies or toddler realizing you are ready for more. I know 5 kids is alot! But that is my story, I had 5 kids pretty close together, thought I was done and 6 years later I realized I wasn't, we have a cheeky little girl now that the kids adore and will possibly have one more (but I am 39 now) so we will see.

I can understand. I have 1 daughter and totally can understand why you’d feel like you’re missing out on certain things. But boys are a love you’ll always cherish. They will stick up for you like no other!

Aw Maddie don’t be sad. Just remember that God chose you to be a boy mom for a reason. Perhaps you are to be a pivotal role in how they will perceive the world as they grow, and that they will choose the best partners. Because they had a woman like you as their mom. Mother-daughter relationships can often be super tricky to navigate. I would say you are blessed. But I’m sure you know that 😊

i definetly know what you are talking about. I had the same feeling when i was pregnant with my boy at first. It is not that i was not happy to have him, it is about saying goodbye to the little girl we will never have. And its ok. But every kid comes to us to teach us something. Whatever it may be.

My heart goes out to you. I know what you’re saying about wanting a girl and why. You’re allowed to feel what you do. Who knows, maybe one of your boys will marry a girl who doesnt have a mom in her life and she will turn to you for those moments. I just wanted to say I totally understand your feelings of wanting a girl to, for lack of a better word, re-create that closeness in your life that you're missing between a mother and daughter. My mom died when I was 14 and I only have boy children (2) so I totally get it. You're not the only one who feels this way, and thank you for sharing your experience!

I know how you feel Maddie I’m a mom of 3 boys ! Mamas w pigeon pairs will never get it ! It’s the experience !!!! Enjoying w my boys now and what I can offer and I always think perhaps GOd gave me this task to bring up 3 boys to be better men because out there on earth the majority are horrible!!! That’s our mission! My sister has 2 and she stopped there she couldn’t bear to have a third has gender disappointment hit hard! Your feelings are valid

I've dealt with gender disappointment too. I always imagined myself as a boy mom (after I got over the fantasy that I would have 7 kids, alternating boy, girl, and at least one set of twins 🤣). We had 3 girls and then were told that we shouldn't have any more due to me getting extremely sick the last time and not knowing if I'd make it. People say "you can adopt" or "maybe you'll have a grandson"...but neither of those situations is the same as having my own little boy. I am definitely so blessed to have 3 beautiful, healthy, sweet girls, but I will always morn what never was to some extent. So you are not alone in feeling this way. I just have to remind myself that God is in control and knows what is best for us better than we do. 🥰 P.S. Growing up my mom had a friend who was only having girls, finally had baby boy at #11 😅

Dear friend I watched you for a long time and I have 4 kids 3 boys and one girl and my last one is boy and Oh God he is my life and my husband life ,we can't even imagine our life without him .I am 38 and he is one year old .Please don't cry and I strongly suggest you to wait till your sweet boys very grown and try for a girl when you in your 30th maybe 32- 36 and trust me, will be a girl ,You are you so young and you have long life and it's never late tp have another baby even at 38 when all your babies will be a Man ❤ big hug to you and your are beautiful ❤
