Yes to the Love Classified inclusion 🙌 Arienne & Katherine did such a great job conveying the romantic chemistry

Kinda hoping that it turns into a sequel. or even a slice of life style series on a streaming service.

I've been looking for "Mystère à la Tour Eiffel" for a long time already, but other than a French version without subtitles I can't find it. Glad you picked up my suggestion about "An Unexpected Love" from one of my earlier comments, even though I can't be sure it was really my comment pointing you to it. Unfortunately I'm out of further suggestions for you at the moment, you seem to have them all covered already, at least the ones I know of. But before I give you nothing, how about two series? "In aller Freundschaft" is some kind of flagship of German public TV these days, 27 seasons, over 1,000 episodes and 2 spin offs by now that was on start for a long time without any queer representation until they came out of the closet in 2020 and introduced a lesbian couple into the series. "Hotel Mondial" is another series from German public TV that was terminated after 2 seasons but had a really interesting lesbian/bi storyline in it.

the only version i've found is in french with russian subtitles. great little tv movie though, the leads' chemistry is great

@@sjc4 Subtitles in any language will do, there are translators available, I know you can't point me to it because of YT rules, but could you tell me what to search for to find that?

it's a happy ending but BOY does the audience have to go through a lot before they get it lol

Hi, thanks for Love Classified and the Prom, two of my favorites but they get bounced around a lot because ones HM and the other is Broadway musical made into a film. I agree that for HM this was a big deal and I liked it in that context. We need more light drama romance and I like that it’s not really a coming out film. Just two women falling for each other. HM needs to keep up. The Prom was a film I really enjoyed but gets some negativity for a few reasons. Not all undeserved but, The original duo of the Broadway show was not used in the film and they are also queer and amazing. Kind of normal for this to happen unfortunately but it is how I discovered Ariana Debose and Jo Ellen Pellman. Who are also both queer and amazing. I would recommend checking out Caitlin Kinnunen and Izzy Mccala’s Broadway work on your own to get them some deserved love and support as well. But If this film doesn’t get made with this cast I probably don’t hear of it and so I am glad it exists, and if the ending doesn’t make you happy🤷🏻♀️! Not sure what will. Not perfect but what is. Pellman and Debose and Kinnunen seem to connect on IG often and support each other so there’s that. As always thank you for this list and the opportunity to discuss ✌️!!!

James Corden.... ugh. Ruined the whole thing. Saw a version of the musical and loved it though

I loved the movie, "The Firefly!" Although the circumstances of which initially brought these two women together was tragic in every way, (watching them both grieve was tough to watch, but also relatable, as I'm sure most of us at some point in our lives have experienced someone we love immensely die unexpectedly) the bond they created was super special to watch. If I didn't know prior to watching that it was a sapphic movie, I think I would have been surprised- happily of course. Watching there relationship grow into something more intimate seemed really genuine to me! I'd highly recommend you checking it out ❤✌🏼🌈

I'm sorry, can't watch The Prom. I have hated James Corden with a fiery passion since the hate crime of a movie that is Lesbian Vampire Killers. I'll definitely check out the Nick Offerman one though. I love that guy (and his gorgeous wife).

The Prom is a good movie and we really need more movies like it. Also, James Corden isn't the creator of Lesbian Vampire Killers, he just starred in the movie. if you hate the movie, it's not his fault.
@Itcouldbebunnies6 ай бұрын
@@friendly_userr Who knows, maybe I'll catch the stage show someday (it's supposed to be really good, unlike the movie) but I will never voluntarily watch anything that features Corden.

Thanks to Her, although I agree it has it's flaws it still captures the magic of the short and has the same two leads. I think both actresses are great in their roles, especially AJ Molder as Millie, her performances is leaps ahead of her performance in the short. The support cast a lot better too. I still had issues with the romance not getting a ton of focus on or at least getting a few scenes with them on their own. The ending is a bit rushed for my liking. But it's well worth checking out., it's got it's heart in the right place. Almost Adults was massively disappointing. The hype that film had before it's release was crazy, you had the two Carmilla leads in a film together. People just wanted Elise and Natasha to be another couple on screen. And it was directed/written by Sarah and Adrienne from Unsolicated Project. And they totally crapped the bed and made Natasha character straight lol. I admire the guts of the filmmakers for doing that cause the audience they were playing for certainly weren't asking for it. Even then it's still not a good film. You are not alone I don't think many people remember that film at all. Ammonite is pretty good but it's a tough film but the same director made one of best Gay films ever with God's Own Country with Josh O'Conner. Well worth checking out, it British Brokeback Mountain but with a happy ending.

I love Ammonite, partly because I love paleontology. I'm not sure the end is happy, but I choose to believe it is. 😊 I'll offer a handful more movies with happy endings besides those I listed after Part 3: Gray Matters Gridiron Grind The Guest House I Hate New Year's Marinette My Brother's War Really enjoying all your posts. I look forward to your posts. However, it frustrates me when you praise a film that I cannot watch, at least not in English. "Ich Will Dich" hides itself expertly, and "Die Konkurrentin" only shows up in a fuzzy, fragmented KZbin version.

Shouldn't international viewers be able to get a list of movies to watch too?

Ich Will Dich is a great movie, I loved it, can't remember which site it was on, it was awhile ago, movies were harder to find a few years ago after a crackdown on copyrights. The version I saw was subtitled. Hope you can find a way to see it.

I found both of them quite a while ago. Not sure what you are doing, probably you need to do a little searching outside of KZbin.

I must say I am very happy about the praise of international movies. It is also very nice to see what other countries besides the usual suspects bring to the table, whether I can watch that movie or not.
