We are exposed to huge amounts of information every day. But have you ever thought if what you see or read is true? We know, in most cases, you don't even think about doubting something you heard on the news or on the radio. We wanted you to get a bunch of facts and affirmations straight and decided to make this video, to tell you about 15 myths you probably still believe in. *** / @incredible-qq2zi

Microbes are floating around in the air too. So if you leave the food on a table, they will land on it as air is also full of microbes. Its not like they are just on a floor and thats it.

@cyberdaemon
@cyberdaemon 6 жыл бұрын
But people keep their food on the table sometimes for hours. In case of fruits, they can sit on the table for days and days. The bigger question is, why none of the web sites or videos talking about this 5 second rule never mention the floating bacteria at all? Without them including this element into the factor makes the whole question irrelevant to me.

well we walk on the floor and shoes tend to have a lot of bacteria that come from poop so not the best kind of bacteria and for the fruit we wash them so that doesn't really matter but yes there is, that's also why is better to defrost food in a microwave than just letting it defrot in the air.

I think the issue here is what was said: "Everest is not the highest mountain because its smaller than Mauna Kea." You can't compare local height with global scale. A bird can fly higher than a mountain, but it will never be taller than one. Everest is (to my knowledge) still the highest mountain relative to sea level, however Mauna Kea is a taller (the tallest) mountain when measured from its base up to its peak. It can be confusing because Mauna Kea might have the 'tallest height' in all the mountains, but Everest has the highest peak.
@jeniacessrpr2153
@jeniacessrpr2153 6 жыл бұрын
PewPewDragon may I draw you back to the simple thing of, the point of all mountain start from. The plate crust, or the fault line that pushes it up. Even the peaks were at one point under water is part of its conception. (There is a flaw here, see if you can spot it.) So a direct line from peak to crust. Sorry Everest and K2 are the tallest mountains on the planet. Unless you want to bring the Mariana trench into this.

technically, mt everest is still the highest mountain in the world because it is 29,029' above sea level and the Mauna Kea volcano is only 13,803' above sea level. If you are talking about the height, well, we can never tell where the base of a mountain is. It could extend forever
@TheReaverOfDarkness
@TheReaverOfDarkness 3 жыл бұрын
People estimate the base of the mountain. Their are four primary record-holder mountains, depending how you measure: Everest, Kea, Denali/McKinley, and Kilimanjaro. Everest has the highest peak. Kea is the tallest from base to peak. Denali (AKA McKinley) is the tallest from base to peak on land. Kilimanjaro is the mountain with the largest base on land.

You just... You got that last one completely WRONG! No amount of cold weather will give you the cold virus no matter what your "mood" is. Cold weather can a runny nose for two reasons. First cold dry air can dry out the mucus membrane necessary to prevent infection. Your body will compensate for this by adding more moisture. Secondly cold air will cause condensation of free floating moisture in your nasal cavity. The reason the cold virus is more prevalent around the winter season is also two-fold. As I mentioned before the mucus membrane dries out which makes it easier for an infection to get. But mainly it's because when it's cold outside people spend more time indoors in close proximity to other people who might be carrying the infection.

Unless there is obvious contamination hazards it is demonstrably fine to eat food off the floor. Humans evolved doing this for millennia, only in modern times did we start placing things on tables/plates etc (which incidentally also harbour bacteria). There are about 6.5 million land animals and only one species is afraid to eat things off the ground.

Science of the day:You said in your video that you don’t know how underwater waterfalls can work but it’s actually quite simple...So water in the Ocean usually has the same salt to water ratio (salinity) right? Wrong. What happens is that some water in the Ocean has a higher salinity than the rest of the water, so it naturally sinks. Still following me? Whenever it sinks it basically (due to gravity) tries to go as deep as possible (the little nooks and crannies in the bottom of the Ocean) and it creates an effect similar to that above ground. If we imagine that the water is air, and the higher salt content water is normal water, we would have ourselves a normal waterfall, and it works the same because of all the salt, the water in turn weighs more. Thanks for reading this, i did this on my phone and it was kinda lengthy. (Like so he sees this)

Santi Lopez it’s not due to gravity, it’s due to the density of the water and salt mixture. And how would this work? If it is falling into a different salt to water mixture wouldn’t they all just mix and eventually become the same ratio? And especially if it is falling 11,500 feet?

@watchmework3688
@watchmework3688 6 жыл бұрын
Todd it is due to gravity bc if there was no force to push down on objects then they would just float. Its both because its more dense and the force of gravity being applied to it that makes more dense objects sink. Surface area also plays a role in buoyancy but in this case it does not.

How are you measuring tallest mountain? the distance between the surface (a.k.a. sea level) and the peak? or the center of the Earth and the peak? or between the foot of the mountain and the peak? In the first case, Everest is the tallest, second case Chimborazo, Ecuador is the tallest and in the third case we have to start defining what a mountain is, Mauna Kea is not a mountain, the correct term is "Seamount".

Baitanu Andrei the Antarctica one is wrong also. @JOHNDOE-bn3lx

it is water, but antarctica is a dry, barren, area of land. given the cold temperatures any water in the atmosphere would freeze, therefore not allowing for any kind of moisture to form, making it dry. there is water in antarctica, but also in desert, in form of oasis and rain. desert any area in which few forms of life can exist because of lack of water, permanent frost, or absence of soil.

@cheezitguy5273 6 жыл бұрын
(I am assuming that you are talking about them saying Antartica is a desert, if that's not what you were referring to in your comment, this reply will be a waste of time) According to www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/glossary/gloss5/biome/tundra.html the characteristics of a tundra are an extremely cold climate, Low biotic diversity, Simple vegetation structure Limitation of drainage, a Short season of growth and reproduction, Energy and nutrients in the form of dead organic material, and Large population oscillations. None of those criteria contradict the ones for a desert' so something can be considered a tundra and a desert, since they have two different criteria (Tundra is lack of life, and specific temperature, while a desert is based on the precipitation) (I got my information for the desert at www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/glossary/gloss5/biome/deserts.html).

And the reason people considered that rubber might help vs. lightning is because rubber is a common insulator when dealing with electricity. However, I guess they aren't aware that the air making up our atmosphere is also an insulator - an insulator the lightning just blazed through... in fact insulators are pretty much what makes for high voltage.. it builds up until it breaks through that insulator..

We wrapped up another powerful episode of The Truth About Vaccines last night. If you haven't watched yet, be sure to check it out today. Go here to watch Episode 6. Here are just a few of the comments about it thus far: “Thank you for your commitment to sharing the truth about such hot-topic issues as cancer and vaccines. Getting the conversation started is important, but it wouldn't do much good without the education to back it up...and you present it all in an easy to understand way. I am happy to support your company and look forward to what you bring to us in the future! (My kids love watching right along with me!)” “I have been dedicated to waking up for a decade or so. This series has offered a welcome boost to my awareness, thank you. I have suspected for some time that vaccinations play a huge role in population cull, nothing has changed as a result of viewing this series except for the strength of my suspicion. I cannot remember ever considering FDA or CDC and the like as being a friend or advocate for the populations, now I have even more evidence... I look forward to the coming episodes and expect to view all seven multiple times. I truly hope all who become aware of "The Truth About Vaccines" series will support your valiant effort... Best.” “Thank you so much for what you are doing! I appreciate you all immensely. I am a pediatric speech therapist and I cannot tell you how many parents have said their child's speech development regressed at 16-18 months right around when they were vaccinated. I knew there was a connection but I don't have a lot of time to research vaccines since I spend lot of time researching therapeutic practices for treatment. So your work, effort, and research is appreciated and so essential to helping professionals like myself educate parents. I will be purchasing the DVD sets and lending to my clients. Thank you, thank you, thank you!” I encourage you to watch Episode 6 here for free and continue to learn how to keep your family safe and healthy. I'll see you there, Ty Bollinger

Queen of Dark no it is not in your science book. See this is a common myscoception, your science book says nerve cells enter a cell phase called G0 where they leave the cell cycle and don't undergo mitosis. But it didn't say that the stem cells in the nerve cell niche go into G0. The stem cells will still regenerate, such as in the areas responsible for memory new cells are made quite frequently. So no both your text book and this video are correct.
