In all seriousness though I think people often forget 1 type of person for any disastrous event that may come... The person with vast knowledge of plants especially herbal or medicinal plants and what to do with them... Let's face it those medical supplies are eventually gonna run out or expire then what are you going to do?... I believe that nature has the answer... Plus if you already have a medic then they can work together to aid everyone on the team...

A scientist/microbiologist as well as the medic of the team should already have a good enough knowledge of plant remedies and other uses

@@Classic_Eddie that's true, but having a specialist in plants that knows how to use them isn't something that should be downplayed. Microbiologists are a huge asset, but how much can they truly do without thier equipment? Also, they may be able to tell wich pathogens are present, and what plant holds the necessary chemichals to treat them with, but will they be able to find these plants out in the wild? Will they know what to look for, or even where to look? I also doubt modern medics would have any good herbal knowledge. Most medical professionals today are trained to utilize modern equipment and remedies. They are, again, a great asset, but I highly doubt they have the knowhow to use the plants that grow around them. I've had personal experiences where herbal medicine (something doctors seldom recommend) helped me more than the copious amounts of medicine my doctors have prescribed. I live in a rural area in a 3rd world country, herbal medicine is like our lifeline here, especially since hospitals are few and far in between, and let me tell you, having someone who knows their way around medicinal plants is a lifesaver. In fact, there are a lot of herbal remedies here that has been used for generations that haven't been "proven" by scientists and doctors, that has been saving lives. For instance, did you know that the juice extracted from pounded moringga leaves can stop bleeding? Or that bathing and/washing with water from boiled guava leaves can help speed up wound healing and can even be used to help with skin ulcers? Or even the fact that chili peppers can also stop bleeding, help lessen swelling, and accelerate wound healing? Those are just surface level knowledge I learned while growing up (I was an energetic kid, that got gashes and huge wounds often, so... I can vouch for their effectiveness! Of course, I was too much of a wuss to try the chili pepper one, but my mom, her colleague from work, and my aunts did, and they actually stand by it.)

One thing, if your team becomes bigger than team members listed, have at least 3 leaders, one good and one third of these things, making it easier for questions and training if needed, even though it may waste food quicker, you'll have people to scavenge while people protect your base, maybe even a few extra to help out with other stuff like farming.

Priority number one I would have is reach and defend a power plant and make sure it continues to function at at least it's minimum output. A base with electricity would be a huge draw and could lead to hundreds of survivors heading to the same place, with that kind of man power and a secure base like a power plant especially if possible a nuclear power plant considering the original crew is saved and running it so it doesn't explode; would be a great start and could give the time needed to produce the kind of food generation required to even support such numbers once original food stores run out.

personally as i live in Australia all I need is my friends, one of them has a gun and makes bullets, two of them builds things. At least two of us (including me) have survival skills from scouts (and I have been practicing different survival techniques and how to make makeshift equipment as a hobby), so we might be ok (i guess i would be the most rational one if someone gets bit, no remorse in that case)

Luckily I have a local mechanic. 🔧 3: My Doctor We need a doctor! 😷 4: Heston Heston is my German shepherd. He is super loyal and doesn't let anyone hurt me or my friends. Also German shepherds are one of the most aggressive dog breeds. 🐶 5: Matt Matt is my friend who used to be a soldier. He is very good with guns and knives so he'd be a good member. 6: Marlin Marlin (or Mars) is a cook I know. He can cook anything and we do need a cook. There ya go! My apocalypse team!

What about a bomb technician? They do good under pressure and could make explosive weaponry. Also like a soldier they could get exclusive gear. They are also in good shape. Also pyrotechnics expert they can build fire and get fire based weaponry.

in a zombie apocalypse, make sure you have a plastic bag and some gum bands. If you put the bag around a tree branch and but the band around it to tighten it to the tree. A few hours later, there will be water in it.

Alaska is pretty much made of 75% hunters and i live there and alaska is very wide spread so theres loads of forest and not much city so i think i stand a pretty good chance but there is quite afew mechanics in alaska to and everyone in alaska has a gun even some kids
