In today's video we’re gonna learn new words and also practice some grammar, if to be more specific: genitive case and the verb: to be afraid of smth. (БОЯТЬСЯ). Plus we're take 15 words | things that people usually are afraid of.

EXCELLENT VIDEO LINA !!! I love this kind of work because it confirms my method to study Russian. I take one or two verbs ( That depends on the time I have) and then I study them : conjugation ( including participles and gerunds), the cases and prepositions that we need here and the family of words associated with the verb. This method along with the intense study of grammar can facilitate the process of learning and a fast progress. I know that GRAMMAR is not very popular but it works for me. THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!

Thank you! Actually I don’t know yet, as I have a lot of work to do, I’m working on this workbook little by little, so it takes a looot of time to put everything together. Hopefully I’ll finish in a month or 2 😊

At 1:49 writing the English meanings would have hepled. Specially the Perfective form of the verb.......🤔

It actually makes little sense, because in Russian we have 3 tenses and in English you have 12. So the same “я боялся” can be translated as “I was afraid / I have been afraid / I had been afraid / I had fear”. That’s why it’s better to present the conjugation only in Russian because not always it’s possible to transmit the necessary meaning and form of the verb. Plus I hope everyone knows what past, present and future tenses are.
