*For Joey. Rest easy. You won't be forgotten.* This is my personal Tribute Video for Joey Jordison (1975 - 2021) . Rest In Peace. When reading the news of Joey Jordison's death, it was something I couldn't believe. Slipknot is a band that influenced me early on - like many of you - and I remember listening to People = Sh!t for the first time, the song that introduced me to them. These crazy doublebass drums, the aggressiveness, the riffs, this unique sound. Joey Jordison had a huge impact on the sound of Slipknot, that is undeniable - a true mastermind. All of that hypnotized me and I binge-watched a lot of Slipknot live performances. Joey's stunt during "Spit It Out" at e.g. Download Festival 2009 where the drums would spin was something that made my jaw drop. Not only the stuff he is playing is crazy, he could also do that upside down... He was THAT great. We lost an icon, maybe the most influential drummer of the past years. Not only that - a bunch of people might not know his band Muderdolls where he played indeed the guitars. I am no drummer but with this tribute video I tried my best to create something for Joey. Rest easy, legend. Condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

Celebrity deaths never phase me, but when I learned of Joey, my heart sank. Couldn't believe it. His music guided me when I was trapped in my own head. Wonderful tribute, wish I could do something like that myself.

I remember feeling like everything had suddenly changed when the first Slipknot album came out. A huge part of that was Joey Jordison's world-class drumming. In a band full of amazing musicians, his talent, passion, and showmanship stood out. The fact he could play such technical stuff on that spinning kit still amazes me. There will never be anyone like him. Thank you for a wonderful, tasteful, and heartfelt tribute, Jassy. A fantastic selection of riffs beautifully arranged, played, and edited. Joey would be proud. I don't even know what to say here. His loss is a tragedy and everything seems inadequate. Rest in peace, Joey. You changed the world and the lives of millions of maggots for the better. You will be deeply, deeply missed and never forgotten.

You have made such a heartfelt tribute to Joey Jordison - the song choices and images of him in both bands were a nice touch - the final scene of him on his rotating drumkit is so iconic but also sad. I've only seen Slipknot live once, the year Joey filled in for Metallica at Download - he played both his own and Metallica's song with such vigour. I'm not a drummer, but I think his drumming skills were amazing - and I loved the rotating drumkit! R.I.P. Joey Jordison.

Joey war ein wahrer Meister. Unzählige Schlagzeuger hätten wahrscheinlich nie ohne ihn mit dem Instrument angefangen. Er ist auch auf Tour für Lars Ulrich bspw. eingesprungen. Ein sehr großer Musiker... Viel zu früh ist er von uns gegangen.

I was 12 (21 years ago) when I heard about slipknot, i was stoked! Bought shirts and cd's. After that i listened more death and black metal. But when i became older, slipknot came back in my life (allthough it was always there) and it became even better! I understood the guitar riffs, the stories they told and the amazing drumwork from Joey! What a legend and a absolute hero of mine! He will be missed.
