Nice advice. Very informative. But foreign tourists might also be interested in seeing tropical mountains, cliffs along crashing shores, rice terraces, hanging coffins, cultural dances, historical buildings and towns. For these, the Philippines is not just islands and beaches. It's so much more. 🙂

I'm going to El Nido in 2 weeks from EU (Switzerland), where should I change money? Which currancy should I bring?
@chitocucio4573
@chitocucio4573 Жыл бұрын
From a local perspective, you can exchange your US$ at the airport, or at money change counters in the malls (in Manila, Cebu). Or you can withdraw from your bank account thru ATMs that dispense Philippine Peso. Word of caution though to bring cash when headed to the province like El Nido where ATMs come far in between, not to mention instances when they are out of service.
@XxWiLD97xX
@XxWiLD97xX Жыл бұрын
@@chitocucio4573 Usually I avoid airport for currency exchange.. I found an exchange (Core Pacific Money Exchange) just 3 mins by walk from my Manila Hotel, it should work. Yes of course I will change money before going to El Nido because I read that sometimes it's difficult to pay by card or withdraw money from ATM in general

Even some experienced backpackers are having a challenging time exploring Philippines and Siargao is a relatively small island, (it has a nice country/island vibe there but their small airport is actually just recently been open so you get the idea). I suggest just go straight to Palawan esp with an 18 month old baby.
