@@Oatmeal. the Pokémon might wander away and battle another or come back to you. I was confused because I had an Igglybuff refuse to attack another Iggly despite it being directed to a group. The shiny was inside.

Here's another helpful tip; As soon as you've completed the tutorial and are free to explore and you wish to fully unlock your koraidon/miraidon, go out and catch a nacli with sturdy ability and raise it to lvl 24 to evolve it (you can do this quick and easily by finding med. Exp. Candies on a beach to the south) and teach it salt cure. Then go buy a bunch of lemonades from a vending machine in the bug gym town. Then you can go battle the titans very easily... just use salt cure immediately, and keep using healing items to keep naclstack at 100% health and just sit back and let salt cure/sturdy do all the work for you (I cannot stress how well this works... I defeated all 5 titans immediately on my first ever playthrough, and my team hadn't even broken level 30!)

I'm not picky about graphics in general, I care more about the gameplay, but the graphics of the environments in this game really do like like something from the GameCube era. People usually tend to exaggerate, but this time they were right 😅😮

The credits at end lag so bad it hurt my eyes to watch. The lag was like playing online but it was offline. Switch is laggy with Pokémon snap and animal crossing.

Here's something I've learned just doing my personal casual speed-run (in the sense of skipping some, if not most of the trainer battles along the way.) Since they are no longer mandatory to do when you make contact, you can do your Gimmighoul quest to evolve to Gholdengho and use that money making method around all the trainers you've skipped. For those that don't know yet, you lvl up to 100, use your bottle caps on all necessary stats, equip him with the Amulet Coin, and use his signature move Make It Rain to gain $1000 each time it's used. That way, besides just hitting the Ace Tourney over and over again, you get twice, if not four times the amount you would regularly get in a traditional Pokémon playthrough (depending on how many Pokémon said trainer has.)

You must still be in the starting area because the map is gated off by the Team Star bases from the Starfall Street quest line. You also NEED gym badges or higher level pokèmon will stop listening to you. Either you arent being truthful or you have an entire team that wont listen to your trainer by now.

@@Jenema2 first of all, pokemon raised as babies to high level will still listen to you regardless if you have no gym badges. Unless it was caught high level then it won't listen cz you have no badges. Secondly, you can easily get across the barriers with a simple jump and side action. Or you can do the backwards wall climbing that requires nothing but good button pressing. Seems there's much for you to learn

Art style is fine with me. But it's been 20 plus years now and we still don't have voice acting. Arceus had waaaay too many cut scenes and it became painfully obvious that it needed voice acting when I was finding myself having trouble focusing.

I wish it were not so open, and more effort were put into towns. The open world also just feels empty and kind of like a romhack, giving way too powerful TMs too early and mishmashes of Pokémon.

I like the open world. I’ve actually been challenged quite a few times going to areas my Pokémon weren’t ready for yet. I think if they fixed the performance issues, the open world would feel much better.

@@MrMoose-mf1oy not for me. Even finding out where you are is disorienting there’s too much nothing in the map, or nothing of consequence. This feels like a Ubisoft game where yes there is a lot but there is zero substance to any of it.

@@EveryTimeIDavid I kind of agree. Even if the maps were split between N/E/S/W or something so each could function a bit more smoothly would be nice. I like the feel of the open world, but sometimes I have felt like I'm just lost because areas of the world so so similar and the map is a nuisance to navigate. (Also, the way that mini-map rotates get me turned around constantly and I end up lost, lol.)

Things I’m glad I knew about Scarlet/Violet before buying: -Worst outfit customization options for the mainline series in well over a decade (amazing how much of a step back this is from the last 3 gens) -Major performance and technical issues I’ve been playing these games since the Red and Blue days and hadn’t missed a Gen, but with the above issues this game became an easy pass for me. Money and time saved to play something else.

I got it 2 days ago..and its not the smoothest game but it's understandable considering how much is going on all at once in the open world. I haven't experienced any real bugs or anything game breaking. Only issue I've really noticed is things just disappearing near me or stuff popping up on my screen as I get closer. But that's a common thing in games this large.
