START One thing that hurts, when having money, is watching those falling behind in the gap you mentioned. It is hard to let them struggle through things that a little extra cash could fix, but ultimately wouldn't prepare them to resolve on their own. Whether its my adult children or my friends, when I recognize a need, I want to lighten their burden. Seeing my best friend "put in the work" to bring about his own prosperity, has been confirmation though. It would have been easier on him to subsidize his expenses, while he got started. The struggle was what drove him to succeed though. Now he is doing well, accomplishing more than he thought he'd ever do. Because of his journey, still feels like he "could be doing more". Now he's setting goals, and meeting them.

Debatable topic.. I wonder if lightening the burden can propell the person forward faster or if doing it on their own gives them the grit to pound their goals out faster... guess it depends on the person. Idk if its healthy for everyone to feel like its every man for himself in this world. We should make it easier for the ones to come afteer us imo.

Having money can be quite lonely, and there are very few people you can share your financial triumphs with. And yes, focusing on your own life instead of catering to entitled and controlling people really changes things. My big moment was when I realised that I am now able to define my career as 'philanthropist'. I used to just tell people I work 'in finance', and then I realised that my focus for making money was to give it away. And the more you give away, the more comes to you, which is bizarre. The first time you wear a $15,000 watch is pretty weird. And no, I didn't waste my money on it, it came to me through charity..... :)

An expensive watch through charity odd. But hey nothing wrong to spend 15,000 on something of quality that you would use and enjoy if you have money. For me I might turn down eating with a friend where the meal is too expensive to me at 10 dollars cause Im not paying that on something I don't like yet if the mention something I love that could cost over 40 that's not a big deal to me.

#15 is really about providing value to others. This is how success happens. I know so many people who really aren't going anywhere fast in life because they refuse to "put out" some value before they get something. And they want to be way overpaid for something that basically anyone can do, so they don't find themselves working that much. Whereas people who are moving ahead in life are serving others through what they do. There is always a benefit to it, even if it's not monetary in the beginning. Maybe they are getting information by seeing how others react to the product or service they are putting out there.

Fun story! Speaking of expensive watches -- in 1975, I was passionate about jewelry, so went into the business as an entrepreneur. At that time, bought myself a gold/diamond OMEGA watch, $4K (wholesale) at the time, much more in today's dollars. Wore that watch daily for nearly 25 years. It was my fake it 'til you make it in the beginning, then a symbol of making it. In the early 2000's, I put it away, no longer feeling the desire to be flashy (as you mentioned!). Being that I'm an entrepreneur and not in the corporate world, fast forward to this time in my life, there's no big retirement party and no gold watch.....but, wait, there is a gold watch! I recently pulled that gold watch out from it's resting place and "gave it to myself" as a token of my full circle success. Yes, success is often measured in money, there's no way around that, but once the money is there, success is in living a long, happy & healthy life. Thanks for all your SPOT ON advise - here's hoping people see it for the truth it is! :-)

100% true, I tried to lift Family & Friends for the past 15 years ( on my journey to wealth), But I couldn't lift anyone of them to atleast to the path towards wealth. All they want is money for their expenses and to buy some gadgets. They don't want to be educated or invest their time on the projects I recommend or learn useful methods to earn money. They will come to me to borrow money for some routine expenses and wishes. All I could do is educate my kids about money and now they (kids) are on the same page with me . By living well below my means I am able to save 75% of my check. That translated into a possible startup. After pivoting a commercial property was offered through trying to work a deal. I called it, activity breeds activity. You call it returning favors. I am in a position now to also start a specialized business working as a contractor. If this occurs I will be leaving my cushy union job, that pays well. I smile on the inside every time a co-worker asks why I drive the oldest vehicle in the lot. I like the payments, (which are zero), and they always proceed to say how great their new vehicle is with all these doodads. I see a path to my first million and going forward is key. Great video. As for what having money taught me about people, when I got my first corporate job, I learned how quickly people close to you will jump on lifestyle inflation. We were all 20-somethings getting our first jobs, and some friends were like, “oh, you can go out for $70 drinks, it’s fine! You’re working now!” Not a big deal but it relates to number 13. I retired several months ago and have been learning & trading stocks for about 10 months. ...enjoying it immensely. In the past I would tell friends that I was 'dealing in stocks'. Their reactions were almost 100% negative. "OOHH, that's dangerous", "You'll lose all your money". "Stick with your day job..it's secure." , "etc, etc, etc...." I've since stopped speaking with them and found some new like-minded friends and associates. Most people would rather feel 'secure & miserable'...instead of breaking out and looking for something better. (The security is an illusion and the misery is acceptable..go figure..). I did something as simple as buy a used BMW 328i 2-door coupe. Great price, good shape, fun to drive; etc. You'd think I bought a Lambo! Again...advice from old friends of worry, fear, doubt & disbelief. They knew nothing about it...but knew everything about their own fears. When I drove away...It was like...'the great escape'.

I'm not at 'wealthy level' yet, But because my business makes a substantial amount above my expenses and lifestyle,..., 90% of My Week is Free-Time where I don't have to do anything. What that has taught Me, is that being comfortable can become lonely. I'm already seeing that after acquiring a level of comfort...You can sink into a dull place if u don't have 'A Purpose'. My advice to all of yall who are growing in Wealth.. Is that when u reach your goal financially.... Ensure you still are active doing something meaningful and adding value regardless of if it's to family, a small group, or masses. Awesome video! - I learned in my process and because of the amount of effort that it took for me to learn, mold, and build my estate - how to spot the people who are just "TALKERS" and those who show IMMEDIATE actions. Many people ask you questions about wealth, or complain about it, but as soon as you attempt to show them how to change and give them tips, the next day they don't or haven't acted on it. They haven't bought the book, haven't signed up for that class, haven't opened that savings account with direct deposit, they just.......HAVEN"T. These types are much easier to spot the further you go on in life and because of it, you're that much quicker to dismiss them and move on or not allow them in your inner circle. They Bring you no benefit and they waste your time. The person you had to BECOME to get your money allows you to easily spot the people who AREN"T the types to get it and who are more likely to waste your time and knowledge. keep it moving.

Just figured something out which is true about life as well. Since I was a kid, high graphics games had been my dream. When i got my first gaming laptop I purchased all the games I always wanted to play. But there came a time when all my initial interest of gaming waned away. And now I am thinking of selling off my gaming accounts. In life the phase of initial poverty is the same. When you earn enough you lose interest in money too. Thats why billionaires end up giving money away to charity. Think about it. There is such a thing as too much money..

I absolutely relate to number 5. It's like, I love travelling but now I realise that no matter where you go, most 5 star hotels are the same and food is the same. Yes, you get great quality but a good steak in France taste the same as a good steak in Thailand. Same with beaches, pools and hotel rooms - they are all the same. But we are still grateful. Now my favourite pastime is walking on the beach and enjoying cheap street food and visiting with family. I love wandering local markets and watching buskers in parks. I love cooking from scratch for myself and family! It is a weird feeling......most of what gets me feeling amazing is actually free, like plucking leaves from a plant and crushing it in my fingers while walking or walking barefoot on grass.

That's not to say easy come easy go, but I think It feels that way. I scour for ways on how to prevent loosing the wealth and through re-investing it seemingly get to a larger amount and I think that's when it's a game... You are absolutely right about moving away from friends who don't have money. It was clear from when they could earn doing full time jobs whilst I was still studying that they would have more at the time. In the long run I could have potentially so much more, and they tried to bring me down because of their envy. In the end I moved away from them. It was hard, being they were the only friends I had. I did though, and one of them ultimately had the same attitude as me, and we are both light years ahead of that now - and still friends.

On a certain level, we have death in our brain, the neurochemicals that show up in flow: so dopamine, norepinephrine, anandamide, endorphins, and serotonin. If you were to try to cocktail the street drug version of that, right, you're trying to blend like heroin and speed and coke and acid and weed- and point is, you can't do it. It turns out the brain can cocktail all of 'em at once, which is why people will prefer flow to almost any experience on Earth. It's our favorite experience. It's the most addictive experience on Earth. Why? 'Cause it cocktails five or six of the largest pleasure drugs the brain can produce. We're all capable of so much more than we know. That is a commonality across the board. And one of the big reasons is we're all hardwired for flow, and flow is a massive amplification of what's possible for ourselves.

I'm new to Alux. I've been wrong in just about everything about money. Saved and struggled my whole life ( with dreams). Now that I have some money to invest and really grow wealthy I'll be too old to enjoy it. Just as I was about to throw in the towel and cry in my pillow a thought flashed through my little brain. I may only have a few short years left but at least I can go out fighting and gain a little self respect. What do you think?
@maxfire052 жыл бұрын
I don’t believe that there is a such thing as “too old to enjoy it” or “I only have a few short years left”. Death will come for all of of us eventually, no one knows when it will come. Rather than focus on the perceived remainder of you life, I think it’s better to enjoy the time you have.

Truth - Everything you share is everything I've done throughout my life and it's so nice to finally relax and enjoy the ride I've been fortunate enough to create. Never have I ever heard so much truth as your video's portray and if people comprehend and follow everything you lay out, success is inevitable. What you said about being able to say no, YESSSS!! My wonderful husband since 1987 can get weary of my ideas and thoughts, but then -- *bam!*, your video says the same thing, and I say, "Look! ALUX just said what I've been saying all along!"

It doesn't matter how much money you make. What matters is how you manage and invest it. I don't prefer to be alone because I have more money. I was already this way before. But if I could I would prefer to be a VIP to have privileges than others so I could have some privacy, be quiet. No morrons around. Also I would prefer to have my personal jet than to pass hours at customs. Instead of having a house I would stay at the hotel all year long. So I would have everything at the same place, cleaning service, maid. It's cool to drink champagne and eating the best from the menu. While normal people are working and asking for the special of the day at the restaurant. Money gives you so much choices. Unless you decide that you want to stay poor.
Money has taught me: Not everybody is happy with your success. Stay low-profile.

I've gone from poverty to winning 650 thousand dollars compensation. Money is just stuff, all you have is how you feel inside. I was frightened I would lose it all due to lack of experience but I've invested in property in Italy, near my family, crypto mining and ethereum tokens and just bought a house to renovate after I made 50 thousand dollars on mine. People don't think I'm stupid now. I really want to get to a million, and then 10. I have a LOT to learn but, fricking START!

I’m on the path to ‘make’ money and can’t wait to do more of it. You’re absolutely right - life is about challenges and accomplishing the current one in order to get to the next one. Money gives certain people power and confidence. They also look down on people who have less. They measure their value on the price of their house and their gigantic trucks… they can go around telling people they live in 600k home and drive in 70k trucks. I make good money but money doesn’t rule me. And I never brag how much I make. I don’t measure my success with money. Always stay humble. And treat everyone with respect no matter how much they make or what they have.
