This is what my parents did but do note that "simply execute it better" can be time intensive. For us it was about giving more service to costumers after a sale. These costumers do the sales for us basically after a while. But this does still require the service that is expected. The other side, the ones not giving service at all or ghosting their costumer still exists. They also have a lot less head aches and less work for every dollar earned.

I'm Jamacian and African American, I learn about investing in my 40's. I invest in ETFs, ETN, individual stocks, bonds, and REITs. I found out that you don't have to have alot of money to invest. Apps like Acorns and Stash only need $5, M1 Finance $100, Cash App, Webull, and Robinhood it dont matter the amount, you can put a $1.00 in it, don't have A lot of money to invest real estate but don't want the headache of being a landlord, Fundrise a Real Estate investment trust and only need $500. I also trade stocks, penny stocks, option trading, and crypto but I'm a small trader but gotta start somewhere. I save $1000 and invested $100 and traded $100 when I got my stimulus money. Good books to read is Who Moved My Cheese by Spenser Johnson, Think And Grow Rich A Black Choice and The Wealth Choice by Dr. Dennis Kimbro, and Trading For A Living by Alexander Elder. @Pikayumyums4 жыл бұрын
This is cool and all, but even STEM isn't valuable anymore in the marketplace. Take a look at job openings for STEM vs degree holders - there's a huge discrepancy. Degrees in general are oversaturated and I'm surprised they didn't call that out, but I'm guessing their research is from a decade ago and they haven't bothered keeping up. Fact of the matter is, if you're a millenial you almost certainly had indoctrination from EVERY adult and hero in your life that going to college for ANYTHING is the only path towards success. While this advice was given with good intent, it lead an entire generation down a path of getting literally any degree because they were tricked since before they even had the ability to properly think for themselves and create strong analytical insights. Most of the adults parroting this advice had no clue about just how expensive college was becoming or just how useless degrees like Liberal Arts would be; because back in the early 2000's, these degrees weren't as abundant. Couple that with the fact that most of the people giving this advice are actually from a generation where this was true - just having a degree in literally anything was an advantage over your peers since degrees weren't nearly as easy to come by as they are nowadays. The result of their advice has lead to debt slavery, and now those same people who gave the advice to go to college for "anything" conveniently memory holed that and moved the goalpost to "well who told you to go to college for anything but STEM? STEM is all that earns money! Everything else is a waste!!!" They like pointing out that so many kids get suckered into these shitty degree programs but refuse to admit that children are a product of their upbringing. Take a second to think of WHY we had a huge influx of shitty degree holders - was it just happenstance or was it perhaps the fact that children were railroaded from high school directly into college by means of social conditioning? Because even if you had your doubts as a 17 year old, how could you reasonably assume that everyone around you with so much more life experience was leading you into a trap? You don't even have enough time to think about what you want to do in college, but you're almost certainly told "just go and figure out along the way, that's the point of the first 2 years covering such a broad umbrella of subjects!" And then what do you get? Kids who go in not knowing what the hell they even are there for, have no clue what skills interest them, and then just get out with whatever stuck. Now that they've pushed that narrative, STEM is oversaturated as well. Like this video pointed out, look at the scoreboard - the numbers don't lie. ~277,000 annual STEM jobs per year vs ~11,842,000 degree owners (including H1B1 in here because they're particularly prominent as competition in computer related fields). This video seems to have outdated information, but from what I see the goalpost has been moved once again from "get a STEM degree" to "learn a trade." These people will continue giving "advice" on how to make it, oversaturate the fields they push everyone towards, and then conveniently forget that they gave the advice in the first place and move on to the next "tip." Our issue isn't a lack of skillsets. It's people detached from the actual struggles of the middle class giving unhelpful advice and assuming anyone who can't climb out the top is just not doing the "right" things. While that's the case for a lot, there's no admission to the fact that the "right" thing increasingly becomes a poor decision by the time the people taking the advice go through with it. Statistically if you get a STEM degree, you're likely going to be saddled with debt and only being able to take up jobs outside of your field of study that you're overqualified for and pays too little to satisfy your loans adequately.

Personally what I have found, if you purchase something on the “high end side” and you do not advertise it on social media, people will call you a snob! What They do not understand is, I do not need to advertise for approval... it carries a trust issue along with it, for instance, “so you think you are better than us” and don’t feel that we are worthy of sharing this info. They actually get put out, when they see you with this high end item, such as a sports car. I am older and wiser and would rather enjoy the fruits of my labor on the quiet side.

There are numerous sources out there and there are many approaches, and many disagree. But it's like a Zen thing. You need to find your path, your passion and goals, assess level of risk. I recommend "the Plain Bagel" on KZbin. I also recommend The Swedish Investor who does review of investing books [5 main takeaways]. Read a lot; you may not always agree, but it may give you some ideas. Look for KZbin video reviews on "Rich Dad Poor Dad". I always find Warren Buffet a good source. PBS "Two Cents" is pretty good for people getting started. Remember for everything that is said; there is a Pro and a Con. Some people believe in Active and some believe in Passive. Some focus on Stocks [Industrial Sectors] and others Mutual Funds [Asset Classes]. Most believe in Diversification - but have different definitions. Then there's the question of Dividends [which I love] - there are several sources on KZbin, but nothing great comes to mind. Then there's Behavior Psychology of Investing, I think there are 7 main ideas.

Some of these tip are somewhat sensible , but you have neglected to mention a few things . One of the biggest points I wish to remind you of is this . The playing field for the Middle Class and below is not exactly level . And if you think it is , you are living in fantasy land ! Our society is an exclusionary one . And it starts from the cradle . It starts with the attending the 'right' schools from preschool to post graduate school. Attending the right school can make or break your future . Why is this ? Because that is where the real networking happens . Do you honestly believe that it is by mere chance or accident , or coincidence , that the world's richest men attended the same schools i.e. Harvard , Yale, University of Chicago , Wharton , London School of Economics , Cambridge , or Oxford? Jeff Bezos attended Princeton , Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg attended Harvard , Trump attended Wharton . You see a trend here ? You think this is by accident? No , it is not . Building wealth has more to do with whom you know .. And the playing field has never been level!

The advice are ridiculous. Can a poor person invest 50% of his income? No.

Dont be fooled by the illusion. Being clever with your money is important but truly there are more important things in life than just being rich...yes it makes life easier but dont get discouraged...this video is made in a certain way to create a reaction and emotion from you the viewer. Take their advice for sure but dont lose sight of reality. The experience of life is not limited to the info they give here..my point? I bet you are "rich" in ways you dont even realise.

What Yolande says is true. More important things than money. Health is most important of all. Then relationships. Being attractive definitely counts for something too. I'd have to say morals and making the world a better place is up there, as well. And then wealth after all of those.

@@lvega5606 right? Its all a matter of perspective...not everone wants to live in a mansion with 10 cars and designer bags!!! Some of us dream of living inside a tree house in a fruit forest caring for animals...happines isnt just what they want to convince us it is...happiness is not dependent on money exclusively...and therefore being "rich" or "poor" has way more to do with perspective and where your heart is at.

Money: I really appreciate you making this particular video. Especially those dividend paying companies. Thank you Alux. This video has helped me stay on the track.

A big thing missed out here is capital. Poor people dont have capital and lets day they manage to put togerher all their money to start a business, at the first downturn they’re wiped out. The rich outcompete you by selling at a loss until they wipe most competition, whats remaining is other rich competitors. Money by itself creates more money and the same is true about debt for the moneyless. Most money in history wasn’t made by solving problems, the problem solvers often got a nice return but they were hijacked by the big money who took all the nice profit. And lastly money+bullshitting=more money

@Raymond Spicer It saddens me that my fellow Americans don't have more. I don't like seeing people suffering but finance needs to be taught and in the correct way. This is why I love Alux, they start that small flame and try to peak your interest. Wealth is not given to you its earned. Im not a Millionaire yet, but Im striving to get there. No matter what.
