We read news in the media that doom and gloom is coming and we just accept it, doom and gloom doesn’t always have to be coming, I’ve read numerous success stories of people that are pulling off tremendous gains of up to $250K within weeks in this crazy market and I just want to learn how to achieve such figures.

Since the crash, I've been in the red. I’m playing the long term game, so I'm not too worried but Jim Cramer mentioned there are still a lot of great opportunities, though stocks has been down a lot. I also heard news of a guy that made $250k from about $110k since the crash and I would really look to know how to go about this.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.
@theresahv
@theresahv 11 ай бұрын
Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

I really don't like making such recommendations, because everybody's situation is unique. But there are many freelance wealth managers you could check out. It's funny to me when I see people who think of "sales" as a way of saving money. Take a buy one get one free on two pairs of shoes. Say a pair of shoes is $75 dollars but if you buy it, you get another pair of shoes for free! But that's not the case the cost to make the shoes is 30 dollars. This can also apply to other brands of clothes. For the most part you're paying for the BRAND and not the quality, same applies to sunglasses. A $5 dollar pair of glasses vs a $500 pair of glasses only the $500 pair of glasses has the word "coach" or "Gucci" inscribed on it.

My wife and I did very well in the amount of money that we amassed for retirement. Well over 80% of that money averaging about $2 million was made because of taking advantage of buying high-end stocks at a deep discount during the Great Recession. 2009 I fired the stockbroker got rid of all mutual funds and bought individual dividend stocks. Be patient don't get scared and do your homework and you can make a killing.

I learned that the stock market was a rich man's game (yes, grandparents lost it all back then and preached that forever) but I've been around long enough to really taste how great it can be. That's when I started using an advisor, it took me about 6 months to break even and also a net gain of 'about $830,000 while others have waited over years to break even, being aggressive certainly comes with greater risk, but with an investmėnt advisör, it's all been calculated risk.

pilotx3mm For her to say poor ppl is wrong !! Perhaps if she would phrase this video that suppose to motivate you or inspire you to do the most to get rich she should of gone about it in a whole different way !! More like to succeed in life set short term goals and long term goals you need to get a degree find a career that your interested in do your research on how long it would take to get there see what the pay is, is it in high demand and etc. There's nothing wrong with buying clothes or anything on sale that's money you saved yourself from paying full price. In order to establish credit you have to start off small to establish credit over time you build your credit so creditors see your credit score credit worthy and apply to increase credit amount. I don't agree that hanging out with poor ppl its bad for you the rich are snobby, selfish I can go on and on. This video is dead on like Trumps way of thinking he's superior because he's rich when he was born into money he also misused funds for personal gain to build a business from the St. Jude foundation along with many more foundations that money ppl donate to charity is suppose to be used for that purpose. Not personal gain that's Rich for you how to be corrupt

Daffy 420, what a lovely outlook on life you have. I have a similar philosophy; life is not all about having what you want, but wanting what you have. I'm sure the likes of Alan Branson & Richard Lord Sir Sugar would heap scorn on my small 2bed flat, 14 year old car, charity shop furniture and sale rack clothes, but I love and feel content with all the things in my life, and I derive a huge amount of pleasure from sharing them with others. Everything I own was carefully saved for, paid for in full, and is lovingly cared for and appreciated. nothing has money owing on it. I consider myself one of the wealthiest people in the world; Because I don't count money, I count the love in my heart, the dreams in my pockets, the integrity of my soul, the kindness in my nature, my willingness to share, and all the strong loving friendships I have with the people in my life. I don't want or need lots & lots of money, because I already have something much better; It's enough. Most of all, I'm happy. Very very happy. Try finding a 'rich' person who's happy.?.. I rest my case.

This point wasn't explained properly. Think about black Friday and people fighting just to buy something on sale. You'll never see a rich person lining up for hours just to buy something on sale. So yes, rich people will buy things on sale, but they're not going to go out of their way to do it. Also, poor people will buy things just because it's on sale, even though they don't need it. Great, you bought a $3000 flat screen tv on sale for $1000 on your credit card, but now you add $1000 to your debit and struggling to pay your rent.

Ironically the numbers are staggering on the poorer side. While the rich do commit suicide quite often, a lot of it is due to emotional issues money can't solve, and pride, something money worsens. The poor commit suicide for the same, and/but different reasons. For every 1 "rich" person that commits suicide because Fee-Fee their poodle died, or an investment tanked, 300 "poor" people leave this life behind for a host of things ranging from obesity & poor diet, to healthcare bills, or a significant other broke up with them. And another statistic is how "poor" people do it. The "poor" are more prone to smoke, eat, and drink themselves to death, destroying themselves from the inside out. The very slow suicide rather than the quicker route is not much spoken of.
@thegazetteyt
@thegazetteyt 6 жыл бұрын
ALl of what you cited poor people dieting from are generally money related. If you have more money you can eat better, go to the dr more, relieve the stress more, etc. But rich people killing themselves because their dog died is something all different. There is a lack of a coping mechanism based on not haing to compromise comfort. The real question that would be asked is what is the subside rate of people who inherited their money vs are self made rich.

I agree and add that your measure of success is from YOURSELF not anyone else (whether your units are dollars, family, books read, etc etc.) Shoving them down other people's throats is a sign of both insecurity and inexperience, not "success" even if the person enjoys more dollars than their neighbor. People who blame poor people for being poor WANT those people to be poor so they feel better. They WANT to believe idiotic notions because they have nothing else to glom onto. Otherwise why blather on about being "rich"? I don't think any of the people on here pretending to be rich actually are lol. They just want to pretend to be rich because there are those who may have less. I would not want to be any of them I'd lose SO much. It is funny..I've never met a real rich person who needs to comment about how rich they are compared to "poor people" on youtube? Still can't passed the whole not buying clothes on sale part. Usually products from the "big fancy" stores have a 100-700% markup. Why would I pay full price when it isn't worth it? Makes no sense to me! Maybe a millionaire out there can elaborate?

As a millionaire who mostly got there by doing things like buying durable clothes at Walmart and garage sales and wearing them until they fell apart -- and saving and investing my money instead of wasting it -- I think their point on clothes is complete nonsense. Or on cars -- buying a good middle class Toyota and driving it until it literally wasn't worth it to fix it. Or living in a lower middle class apartment and never moving while I was working. Such things save a LOT of money over a career. Money which can be invested, and then earn income, which can be invested. These people are more of the "dress for success" and "virtue signaling" variety. As if saying "look at me" will get you promoted in ordinary jobs. Getting educated, being reliable and productive and consistent will get you FAR more in the real world, if you work for a good boss/company. This isn't just my opinion. I lived it.

You're right. I would never buy clothes off the rack at full price even if were a billionaire. They're usually marked up at least 100% if not more. Also, I would never buy a designer item at full price. You're not paying for the actual value of the item but rather the brand equity that the designer name is adding to the true value of the item. The only time you should pay clothes at full price is when you get them made bespoke by a tailor.

Imagine if you had the life you have, full of love and then you didn't have to spend one second thinking about having enough for bills, food or vacations with those you love? Money is never the answer to happiness or fulfillment, but it can be an amplifier of said things. Cheers

You should also add, rich people live below their means. I remember reading the next door millionaire back in the 90s and what stuck out to me was that the average milionaire drives a Ford or Honda and likes to eat Subway sandwiches, NOT caviar. Being rich or poor is a state of mind. You can make a million and spend $2 million, look at all those lottery winners (losers).

J H The word you're looking for is incentive - You will also notice I used the word 'generally'. I'm not saying ALL people who are born to poor families can't make it, but there are a lot more factors going against them than there are against folks from richer backgrounds. They tend to live in poorer areas with lower performing schools, where the kids have an almost anti-educational culture and teachers struggle to maintain discipline in the class, leading to them almost being unable to teach things even to those students who want to learn. These schools also have a lack of other rich folks to network with, leading to it being far harder to break into the higher earning echelons by simply knowing the right folks. How many times do you see barely competant folks hired straight into upper management simply because they went to school with the boss? Quite a number of times here in the UK at least. All these factors add up to make even the most hard working folks who follow all these 'tips' to the letter mostly unable to get rich if they are from the wrong background.

Tyler Padgett I buy clothes that are on sale almost exclusively, I don't have a lot of money and have never been wealthy but I have a lot of clothes that I have accumulated through out the years- i think the point the narrorator was trying to make was it is better to buy nice clothes you really want, not waste your time shopping for good deals and have a smaller wardrobe selection rather than buying discounted clothes mindlessly... like less is more in this case, just my interperation- the tone of this entire video is a bit elitist and seems out of touch in some ways, but in many cases people buy stuff they don't really need or necessarily would want at full price just because it's a good deal

I come from Saudi Arabia and most of these tips in the video I do in my life and it's my "norm" which makes sense I might not be the richest and we might have middle class people but life style in Saudi is a life style of rich people we don't worry too much about water bills to not shower everyday we have free education and medical care our government sends our youth to learn abroad if they want plus we have low gas prices so we go anywhere we think it helps us build a better life we tend to live in a "family" community which in a lot of cases help you to get a leg up in life for example I'm my dad's only child and he died when I was 7 so I inherited all his buildings and the three houses which help me my whole life with renting it and now I'm in my early 30s I plan to sell on of the houses and travel the world and houses in here tend to be huge because it has a large of family members living in it sadly most my family members died before I reach my late 20s so it's a double edged sword you gain more money and options but you lose the people you love but that's life may they rest in peace. Cost of living in here is way lower than the west even though in the west they have 3 times the size of our country or even more like Canada and yet the living cost there is too high! we have fiber optic internet and everything we do is digitalized in here for example if you wanna get married, issue a new driving license, passport, ID, bring workers, open a shop/company etc... the list goes on you could do it online or in a phone app in one site that takes no more than 10-20 mins max of your time which is great to let you focus on other parts of your life plus we don't have to pay taxes at all only on grocery and some product we buy and it's getting lower and it's fairly a new thing since 2015 and it keeps getting lower till they gonna take it away soon and it's better than paying taxes for the houses, the land you live on etc. which helps you live a stress free life and worry about what to do with your life. I happen to be gay so I don't seek to start my own family and I have more money than I wish for so I help other people in my life other online friends I know for years and I plan to travel the world and live the life. At the end try your best and enjoy life I have been living in the most filthy rich and the most poor lifestyles and I learn that what counts is the way you think and how you see life and yourself there is a lot of rich mentalities in poor societies and a lot of poor mentalities in rich ones! just be grateful and watch your health and make sure to be happy and be nice to people around you and don't overthink money I could throw away most of my money for a great moment with some people I lost or people I seek to meet in my life in the future.

I have been friends with several non-famous millionaires over my lifetime. These are people who have enough money that they don't have to impress anyone. I have never been rich and yet, these people like me and call me friend. If you met them you probably would not know they have any more than you do. They eat fast food when they want, they buy clothes at thrift stores and on sale, they get out of bed when their life dictates they have to... just like you and me. In their closets they have two types of clothes... those that they wear everyday and those that they wear to dress up. The dress up clothes are usually well made and expensive. What every single one of these millionaires do the is treat their money with respect. They don't spend it frivolously. Most of them earned every penny that they have and they have a deep desire to never be poor again. They do nothing to show off because they don't have to. They are ordinary people who happen to have a lot of money. There is a vast difference between famous rich people and non-famous rich people. I prefer the latter because they never lose sight of where they came from. They are never snobs. Snobs are people who haven't made it but think that's how rich people act. That's been my experience with true millionaires who are not famous or in the news.

Especially when we visit him...I remember a Day on his house i was looking at his New BMW X6 M which was my favourite car and his told me "get it if you want i dont care".. I dont understand how they don't respect the things they own while For others will remain just dreams... But yeah... If you haven't worked Hard to get something and you can have like 100 of the things they like then there is no Interest of the things they buy...his Kids though never acted kile way and they don't make me feel like a scum cause my Banks has not billions in... Damn life i feel i am happier than my uncle somehow

Trophy Hunter - It sounds like your uncle never got passed what I call "the impression" stage in life... where he feels he needs to impress everyone by bragging about what he has rather than just enjoying his own life without that need. You very probably ARE happier than he is. I am glad that his children aren't like their father. I think the difference between the people I know and your uncle is that the people I know were once poor and were fortunate enough to have opportunities that allowed them to move forward and eventually become wealthy. They know what it's like to want so they treat people of all walks as equals and not just as someone they can brag to. As a matter of fact, none of the millionaires I know (and I knew a billionaire once as well) ever treated me as lower than them nor did they brag about what they had. They were usually generous as well, although not stupid about it.

Remember not to buy clothing that is on sale because that isn't right to save money since its a crutch to make u seem like u aren't poor. only buy full price just like the wealthy so u can become wealthy also ......

Alex M Seriously this is why rich people doesnt understand poor people. To have no clothes in a true sense. I AM broke but not poor and there is a difference, i only buy food, shampoo/conditioner and the like and often try to come up with ways to get some extra cash still I dont have enough money to spend on clothes I probably have only around 120-150 usd to spend on clothes a YEAR( or 12-15 usd per month) So I wont go buying just one pair of pants at 80 dollars I'll buy the pair that is on sale so that I can also afford one or two tops and/or underwear because I also NEED a those and not just pants. Still I never watch tv I dont have the time but KZbin and the internet is my tv I guess, I dont watch sports unless there is somebody I know that are in it, but if I get home and somebody looks at ballroom dancing competition, horses jumping or figureskating I'll enjoy it. Those are interests I have had but that I have dropped. But I dont care about the results. And something I also enjoy is watching nature documentaries and science programs but I usually wait intill they are available on dvd or something like the BBC planet earth 2.

We agree with everything except for your #3. That to us is ridiculous. If you know anything about marketing, you know the manipulation in “sales”. On the road to becoming financially successful you don’t want to throw your money away on overpriced clothing. You can most definitely find good quality clothing on sale, just be sure you’re not buying an item just because “it’s cheap and why not”. Only buy items you know 100% you will wear. Don’t buy too much, be sure of your style, be sure of what you need and what you will put to good use. The price doesn’t matter, whether it’s on sale or not. As long as you know you it’s of good quality, you like it, and can put it to good use.

There are definitely a few #s on here that really are VERY marginal in your rate of success and one I even see that could be potentially bad for you depending on how often/vigorously your doing it and that's #6...and before you think "that's nasty!"... I'm not saying DON'T shower BUT if you are doing it everyday (and you probably should shower everday if your getting very messy in your profession or deal with others in the medical field or work out and sweat everday) and your washing with a soap, your doing your body more harm then good. Health networks have suggested a few times a week minus the few exceptions above. Must of the video did being up good points though and even number 6 brought out great reasons, it's just you have to take the everything with a grain of salt so to speak.

If you are watching this, you are spending too much time staring at a screen. that said: Poor people watch more TV because they can't afford opera, theater, or even a movie. 2: Poor people eat more fast food because it's cheaper. 3: Poor people buy clothing on sale because they can't afford Gucci. And so forth. In short, this video confuses cause and effect.

I'm staring at this screen but I'm at work making over $70/hr. in the cockpit of a Boeing 777 babysitting,have passive income and investments. Don't own or watch tv. Leaving tomorrow for Switzerland for some hiking and Lugano Estival Jazz for a few weeks. Fresh healthy food is actually cheaper for me especially during growing season. And I can cook and prepare my own food. I buy mostly jeans and tshirts to wear. Don't see the point of buying a Gucci bag or anything else stupid like that. I am the millionaire next door type.

+Ethan Davidson - I agree that #3 doesn't seem to make as much sense, because it is still wise to be thrifty (but not cheap - you still buy quality, as that will save you more money over time). However, poor people are wasting more time on passive activities like watching TV - it has nothing to do with "not being able to afford the opera". (BTW, how many poor people still manage to find a way to go to a concert or a bar or a rave?) Secondly, fast food is not cheaper than buying the fresh ingredients and making it yourself - it's simply marketed that way. Anyone can make a cheaper, tastier, healthier meal than fast food, but you've got to be willing to put in the time to prepare and cook it (as well as the time to learn to cook in the first place!). And this gets back to the root of wealth versus poverty: having the wisdom, when you are young, to take the time to invest in your future versus the folly of seeking pleasure and vice instead. The hallmark of the wealthy is the hallmark of a mature adult: delayed gratification. - Want to spend less money on shoes? Buy better shoes and take care of them, versus buying a new pair at Payless each year. - Want to spend less on automobiles and transportation? Avoid loans and leases by buying a crap car for cash while you save up money each month to buy your next car (used, but still high-quality and practical) with cash. (Yes, you'll hate that first car, but every car runs better when it isn't hauling a monthly payment to the dealership.) - Want to make more money? Pay attention in school (instead of daydreaming), study hard (instead of hanging out with friends every night, all night), research, apply for, and earn scholarships to college (instead of taking out student loans), and work hard at your first "real job" (should be during your last year or so of college, so you aren't breaking in your diploma on the unemployment line). - Want to get ahead? Be active (work, exercise, volunteering at church, etc.), instead of being passive (watching TV, playing video games, and blaming the government or "the 1%" for why you aren't living the good life). Simple advice; hard (but possible) to actually do.
