My mum would say “That’s not for people like us” when faced with wealthier places or around wealthy more educated people. It also used to annoy me because I felt so differently, I always felt I was as good as anyone. But I don’t blame her, she was from a generation where there was a distinctive ‘them and us’ and was raised in a poor environment. But thankfully I feel comfortable wherever I am and can speak to anyone with confidence. I had to break the generational ceiling tho.

similar experience: I learned not to compliment other things and people. If I said "that's a nice car" my mom would say -"it breaks down too much" -"they borrowed money. they cant really afford it" -"ours is better" the insecurity got more evident the older i got. i stopped bringing up the subject. it's not her fault: her culture (india) is very status based (doctor children is the ultimate status symbol). And...in India, the exchange rate makes $1/day a good salary, so EVERYTHING was expensive to her.

Ive got a Game Changer for #7 - Do a 23andMe DNA Test. Rather than just looking at your immediate family, it gets to your genetic predispositions. Also, if you were adopted or fostered, this helps to give you insight - forewarned is forearmed. I did a video on the benefits of this testing on my channel. Its not terribly expensive and (again more for adoptees/fosters/ophans) you may find genetic relatives that may have been looking for you! Its kinda cool.

There's something I learned about myself that I don't like: I'm full of prej udice, and respect people for the _wrong_ reasons. It depends on the person and circumstances. For example, it turns out, I think neurotypicaIs are better than people with ASD. I HATE this about me: I think "lesser" is a word to match those on the spectrum--social skills, brains, personalities, normality. I write them off as inferior and abnormal. And it's not as simple as "change the attitude"; it's *_automatically_* in me, the way I feel, whether consciously or subconsciously. I'm sorry, guys; I'm ash amed of myself. It turns out I also think people who don't have learning disabiIities are smarter than those who do have them. And that's what brings me here. My ex-coworker (E.C.) always seemed like a slow learner, and he has made some mistakes at work. Plus, he graduated at 20 at a small charter school, he still lived with his mom at 28, and he didn't have a driver's license. I'm a student leader at my college's catering business, and I learned that the guy had signed up for a service by himself. I thought it was a bad idea, so I went to our boss. She was upset. Told EC she didn't think he could manage alone and was all "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen" and she told him he needed someone there to guide him. Well, that night, he saved a life and was very quick and resourceful (long story short, to subtract the length). My boss apologized for beIittIing him, said he was amazing, and she believed in him to work the shift alone. But he refused and quit. Told her she didn't _truly_ respect him; it was all conditional and her "He-is-incompetent" view would've stayed otherwise. Well, I'm practically as pathe tic as her. I didn't *_consciously_* think EC was a Ioser. I *_automatically_* thought he was one. Like, I didn't say or think the word about him, but I just felt it in me. But I was wrong. I think noble of him now, but only because of what he did, not because of who he was. I put certain people (auti stics, learning-disabIed, adults who live with parents, etc). on the "weak list" until they do something to impress me. I don't like myself.

Living only to give free advices but his life is only mediocre.. if im old i dont give advices where is the mystery and excitement of creating your own life sure there is always have ups and downs but ur life lesson and wisdom are different from other person.
