Wow, what a fantastic video. The best ideal for dealing with a spouse that is a homebody is to keep communicating and don't be afraid to do some of your travels solo. My late husband was never a camper or wilderness backpacker, but I am. We started visiting the National Parks in a minivan camper and got a hotel or motel room when he needed it. Because he was an ex pat, and had worked and travelled extensively as a young man, he was not as keen on travel as I am. I have done a fair bit of solo travel and backpacking, domestically since my retirement while my husband held down the fort at home. With his sudden illness and death late last year, it lit a fire within me to do the travels we had planned and visit the places he had worked before we were married. I really miss him, but I know he is looking after me and I can sometimes feel his presence when I am traveling. We truly do not know how much time we have here on earth, so live each day like it is your last. Have no regrets. Go beyond your comfort zone. Explore, experience and learn. Pitch in where you can, and always be kind. Thank you for documenting your journey and helping others plan our own travel.

Thank you for sharing your tips and tricks. I completely agree about getting different perspectives. When we were in Iceland we took public transportation some. One time we were on the wrong bus and got lost. Once we figured that out we got off, didn't panic and discussed our different options for getting back to Reykjavik. On that same trip to Iceland we took the bus tour along the South Shore. We learned a lot about the area from the guide that we certainly would have missed had we rented a car and drove ourselves. Six years ago we made the decision to start heading towards being full-time travelers. We'll both take our earliest full retirement from government careers. We have one 16 year old at home, once he's off to college or the military we're selling one house. We have two, one is currently a rental and I'll start getting rid of our household furniture, etc. I'll be retiring first. I found you KZbin Channel about 4 months ago and we both enjoy and appreciate all the videos, Facebook post's etc you do. One thing we had not thought about was using cruises to travel. We're definitely going to use that option. We had planned for cruises later in our journey as we age. Our question is do you pack for formal nights, just skip them or go casual, etc? Thank you both! We're learning from you'll.

Italy holds a special place in our hearts from our honeymoon trip, so we start there. Milan seems to always have the cheapest flights so we fly in there and then use trains, busses, and subways to get around Europe. We are even trying a sleeper car on a train this time. By the way, were you able to get tickets in advance to see the last supper. We are in Milan overnight and we were hoping to see it before we head out of the area.

Very much appreciate your videos! I don't see any videos on Iceland so I'm thinking that's not one you've done... Yet :-) I know it's an expensive one. We're planning a trip there next year with my son. I decided to take on the planning myself but I'm curious about when you choose to do a tour excursion over exploring yourself? (Not the whole trip as a tour just an excursion). They can be expensive but not knowing all the best of hidden places to stop and see can be a con to driving into a particular area. And then the driver doesn't get to experience as much. But I was just curious on your thoughts as I try to decide where to put the money.

I'm over 50 and often stay in hostels. Read the reviews, since some are party places while others are quieter. You'll meet interesting people, who can often give good tips on things to see and do. There's generally an option to rent a solo room, if you can't find a hostel with just a few beds per room. Try it, and I think you'll like it. Take a lock, since there's often a locker or drawer where you can lock up your pack or possessions.

Don't forget the environmental impact of all this travel, the planet is suffering because of it. Cruise ships are horrible to the environment and to the communities they visit. Google it. It's not all about us and our pleasure, be aware of the negatives. Travel slow, try not to fly much, don't buy throw away plastic drinks, locals can't process this stuff. It gets thrown out. I have traveled a lot and I started getting upset at all the garbage travelers created, unaware of their impacts.

This is a KZbin committ, nothing but a KZbin comment. If it was not a KZbin comment, I would’ve told you so. I will now like and share the vid with three total strangers.

Awesome, I also started trading with him recently. €180,000 profit in just 2 months and still in cash, Bill Ackman is the king of cryptocurrency trading as far as I'm concerned.
