At 60 you are spring chicken. I'm a solo traveller at 77. Most recent trip was London UK to Aruba via Antigua. it's a fairly new British Airways Route. No serous problems. In recent years photographing exotic butterflies in the jungles of Costa Rica, and learning to fly a light aircraft from a water runway in Alaska were fun and challenging Just a couple of ideas for others to think about.

I'm currently writing a story about a fictional version of me (as a somewhat reluctant spy) that is filled with many of the real-life things that have happened to me as I've traveled the world. At nearly 10 plus years older than you two, I am still traveling a lot!! you are NOT TOO OLD... you easily have 10-20 years more! I know a travel channel from Canada that are probably close to 80 and still going strong... They saved the easier trips for older age such as Cruises... but they are still getting out there and still hike around and travel "light" :)

I'm only halfway through this video but I have to leave my comment because I have SO MANY FEELINGS!!!! I LOVE that I see people my age out there doing this stuff. It's great following folks of any age but having contemporaries as my example feels so much more inspiring. And your example of just challenging yourselves and keeping your mentals fit through everything about your travels plus documenting them are what I need as I feel myself just sort of slumping mentally the older I get. For me, I’ve always been a creator-through theater as an actress and improv performer, through travel photography for many years, and as a writer (I have a book on a totally different subject). My KZbin channel is my next creative chapter. That, and I completely enjoy helping other people travel. I love it; keeps me young too.

John and Bev, your videos are indeed inspiring. After a long military career where I traveled quite a bit, I had the desire to travel post retirement with my wife. However, after my wife went through a four level cervical spine surgery last year, we thought our opportunity to travel had passed. But praise be to God, she has recovered well and in January we are traveling to Cancun/Valladolid/Huasteca Potosina n Mexico, followed by a 25 day trip to Portugal in May. Who knows where we will go in September, but we are planning on three trips per year for as long as God gives us health. All this to say, thank you showing us that it can be done, and that setting our own pace is ok. The Lord bless you and keep you!

05:05 From what I understand, to 'like' and 'subscribe' are the primary things that puts a channel in notice. After that a 'comment' and watching the entire presentation puts the post on another higher level. I saw a presentation of this matter recently. Will advise you what it is when I find it. I really enjoy your channel and to support it I, 1. "Like" the post 2. I've Subscribed to it (with All notifications) 3. Comment on it. Often just saying "A+" just to get that comment noticed. 4. Watch the post in its entirety. Sometimes I don't have the time to fully watch so I let the video run in the background whilst I do other things. Supposedly these four things will help the channels algorithms in aiding to the success of presenters.

In January, a cruise we’re taking (my first) will put us over 100 countries visited, in addition to all 50 states.
