When I was 15 years old I went to the flea market found a turbo Graphics 16 and a whole box of what I thought were trading cards that were actually games and I got to tell you it is one of the best consoles I've ever owned

That's sick, basically every retro system and games I own are from me going to thrift stores when I was a kid. I swear you could find so much cool stuff from sellers that didn't know anything about it, so you got it at a ridiculous price. Unfortunately, at least in my area it seems like in the last 5 years or so it's become increasingly hard to find thrift stores and flea markets that don't sell their games online or mark the prices up ridiculously high. Lol, kind of a long rambled but it just makes me sad how much harder it is to collect stuff for me now.

You can tell it's been a very long time since the 16 bit era when the Crush and Bonk games are considered "underrated" or "hidden gems".
@gjergjaurelius97983 жыл бұрын
Turbo16 definitely the dreamcast of that era. Small library of games which for the most part are excellent.

That is what I was going to say. I heard rumors of a CD version, but mine id Hucard.

Sure was, that’s the version I prefer too. CD version has frames of animation cut out and the music really isn’t as good.
@robertpeacock8943 жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s somewhat better on HuCard you don’t get the cd music. Yet it plays better, and without loading. I’ve only played HuCard version though on original.

Keith Courage is amazing! People buy it and repurpose the jewel case mostly. There is actually a hu card version of Bonk 3. A couple other I would suggest is Jackie Chan Action King Fu and Raiden if we are talking about games not on the mini

John, thank you for creating a bridge between now and my childhood. I'm 37 now, and am battling cancer for the second time. First the right nard, now bladder and spreading to lymphatic system. I hate that I'm not naive enough to believe the drs saying there is still hope. I know I'm on my way out. My point is that in my time of need, and feeling like the only person in the world, you always remind me of how good we had it. God bless you and yours. Thank you, Mr. Riggs, you've made the most terrifying situation in my life a bit easier to handle. Thank you.

Great overview and collection if games dude! The Turbografx-16 system was/is so underrated :) it has some real great titles on it and the multiplayer experience on it is just awesome like in Bonk or Bomberman‘93. Thanks for this video dude!

Boxy Boy. Not many people heard of it and yes it’s just one those boulder moving type of games except you’re moving boxes instead but the game is really challenging later on as you progress with some catchy music and it took me almost 250 hours of gameplay (maybe more) to complete.

I LOVED both Shockman and Somer Assault. Definitely underrated games. I had most of those you listed. Splatterhouse, Ninja Spirit, Jackie Chan, New Adventure Island and the Neutopia series definitely should be on your list. I got the system late in it's run when (1992 or '93) T.T.I. took over and released a bunch of really good games. There were no jewel cases any more, but the quality and amount of the games increased greatly.

Tied with Bloody Wolf as my fav TG16 game is Cadash. Probably didn’t make the list because you can play it on Sega Genesis too. It’s a hack-and-slash with light RPG elements (like classes and leveling up). Some grinding required, but it’s a fun game. Weapon and armor upgrades as you go along too.

Just because it's on one system doesn't mean it doesn't deserve to be here. I'm not as familiar with it but i'll check it out. It's on the TurboGrafx Mini so that helps.

It all wasn’t promoted on any of the TV channels that I had which were two but everybody I knew you had a nes .
