A small dog with a big bark, follow along with my adventures as I explore the world. I'm a little foodie that loves cuddles and lazy mornings in bed with my pawrents. Regularly seen mooching whenever a fridge is opened.

Loving Lou and beautiful one , too ! First year is so important for the doggie! Please , make sure bed is warm enough from the floor side and that he has a quilt 100% cotton or wool blanket to be covered with ! Doggie likes to go under , specially dachshund! Every puppy has to sleep a lot because he developes so fast .... and a good puppy food is so important, too ! Please , do not close his den for the night . Warm bed is so important for his kidneys and bladder, as well canine cough ! Just keep him warm when he’s sleeping , even during the daytime sleep he has to be covered. Just warm beds and lots of hugging . You are such a nice couple! Our dachshund lived 18 years and half and died with all her teeth ; we used rose hips tea to brush her teeth or sometimes a mint tea ! All the best and hope to watch more of your films !

My Jock, when he gets excited he pee's. When someone comes to visit, I take him out to hall, easier to wipe up. He's 8mths old & am really hoping he grows out of it.🤞🤞

It’s not a punishment. Many dogs find it more secure to have their own little area.
@ALinn-vr3nl Жыл бұрын
@@gkinner1234 Nope, that's not true. It's just a lie passed around by people who want to justify taking their taking the lazy way out. Please read from the critics of this practice. It causes all kinds of documented psychological and physical harms. Most importantly, there is no need for it. There are better ways, that are humane. Please read the PETA statement on crating, and google, "Is crating a dog cruel or animal abuse?"

Hi Lou. Just out of curiousity since I am waiting for my pupper, could you let me know why you sleep in a crate at an early age and not on a dog bed?
@Elizabeth-rq1vi2 жыл бұрын
Some people think crating is a good thing.
@juicebox97322 жыл бұрын
@@Elizabeth-rq1vi I know, I'm not saying anything against that, but it still doesn't answer my question
@TheKittiesKilll2 жыл бұрын
@@juicebox9732 Many people kennel or crate young dogs for training purposes. It can help get them use to a 6-8 hour sleeping schedule within a year or so. I've heard sleeping with them young every night could cause separation anxiety quicker or just giving them a bed out in the open lets them have free roam of the house while everyone else is asleep which they probably shouldn't have as a puppy. Our dog use to sleep in the bathroom with a dog bed until she was about 2. Now she sleeps with us the entire night, but I know other people who have had their dogs sleep in the crate until a certain age. Guess it just depends but it's more or less done for training.
@122willywonka2 жыл бұрын
I just got one he's 4 month now. He sleeps on my bed. .no point in the crate I wouldn't keep it up. I didn't have him till he was 14 week. But I'm sure he didn't sleep on the bed. He goes in the crate if I go out. But that's the only time.
@ALinn-vr3nl Жыл бұрын
@@122willywonka Please don't ever crate a dog. It's cruel, from owners who are not adequatly providing for the needs of their dog. Please hire a neighbor to let him out to pee when you'll be gone long, and use baby gates and pee pads, instead. There are compassionate and loving solutions. Please see the PETA article on crating dogs.
