This is the first time in my 73 years that I have not had a dachshund in my family. My last doxie was a mini black Long-hair. Her name was Lady(Bug) and she died at the age of 15. My other doxies were Heidi, Samson, Heidi 2, Gretchen, Greta, Elke, Boki, Nebo, Oscar and Otto. Best breed ever! I hope you enjoy your fur baby as much as we did ours.

The puppy is adorable but the new parents are just too precious. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen such a well prepared new puppy home and such joyful new pet parents. This little Doxy has hit the jackpot and I am sure he will have a wonderful life with mom and dad.

We have never had a dog that was more lovie Affectionate loving , fun and happy as ours she was bought for my wife in 2011 when my wife had stage 4 pancreatic cancer! She laid beside her from 4 weeks old to 3 and 1/2,years. My Wife and coco are 110% both are just as fun as the other!! Both are in great shape and 100% healthy.thanks to our JESUS!!!!! 1 million thank you!!!!!!!!!

My sweet girl looked just like your Frankie when she was a puppy. She was put to sleep a couple of days ago, she was 15 years old. Your video made me smile and miss her so much. Here's to many, many years of joy for you with your precious boy!

I would not own any other breed and my wife feels the same way and yes they are cute, and they are also incredibly stubborn so just be prepared for that. Overall though they are amazing dogs.

I loved this video! I bought a teacup male Dachshund 2.5 lbs today. I can’t get him til Tuesday. I am so excited about this little guy and my giving him a good home . I am soon to be 74 years old and I just retired from teaching last week after about 50 years of being in the classroom . I am a widow and now with the time on my hands, I need something living 9:41 to be responsible for.. You have a beautiful toy dachshund, and you will enjoy him every moment. I had a miniature long-haired ducks and red. After 16 years he had cancer and arthritis and I had to put him down October 23 last year. I cried and cried and cried Of course I didn’t want another dog nor one, but today was the day I had the money now and I got a great deal on this little guy. God is good all the time your precious guy.

Just remember that when the dachshund gets older, they're a guard dog. And, they're great guard dogs, too!

We had 2 long-haired doxies. Of course, all dogs are the best, but they were extra best. Each had a distinct personality. When united in some cause they were like 2 dogs with one brain. Miss them every day.

We got same breed, colour when he was a puppy, we rescued him from a family that treated him like crap . Best dog we’ve ever had. Still have a good laugh every single day. He’s 13 and starting to slow down a bit, starting to get grey but we treasure everyday we have him. Enjoy your puppy, great choice. PS, just remember, if you leave something in reach, like your expensive headphones, you obviously wanted him to play with them. 😂

I have a regular sized longhaired daschound! She is 9 and we got her when she was 6 since I was having depression and anxiety. So my parents reached out to our friend and neighbour who’s mom owns a daschound kennel and she gave us Jubi for free. She is a retired show dog (very beautiful she won world championchip) and has really made me so much happier, I love her so much. She has the kindest most gentlest soul (tho very stubborn😅) and everyone who meets her loves her instantly❤️

I brought a mini doxie from Calif to Massachusetts. I lived with my parents and my 2 sons. My mom also had a doxie named "Inches". The two doxies played for hours and made us laugh with their antics.the 2 girls are the best mates.having two is fantastic!

Mine had so many little (puppy sized) soft toys that I used to suround her with in her bed... she snuggled between them all like they were her brothers and sisters... now she absolutely loves her soft toys so much.... always carries them to her bed to snuggle with them. It is just so cute. Love doxies. I have two mini longhaired doxies.

I have a mini doxie...cream long hair. Her name is Bell. We love her to death! She is best pet ever. Just remember Dachshunds love to burrow under blankets, makes them feel safe and it's their natural instinct. I litter box trained mine, she is 3 and never uses anything but the box. Dachshunds the best. Over my 69 years of life I have had 8 different dachshunds. Tow that are still in our family. One long hair and one short hair. We will be adding to our dachshund pack in 5 weeks with a new long hair female puppy. I am so excited

Sweet. Some unwanted advice. Get a friend. Two together and they are so happy and get in so much less trouble. We have had 5 mini longhairs at the same time. They love having each other. Fluffy squeaky toys rock. Enjoy. Have fun. They will become your best friend.

my mini doxie is Bailey, she is a red short hair dapple. The love of my life! She is now approaching 16. She was a crutch for me when I lost my 18 year old daughter in a car accident. They are very loyal dogs. Word of warning though..dont let you dog jump up or down on the furniture or up and down stairs. They have tendencies for back injuries. My Bailey did have surgery for this. Just a word of caution. I do love them though..Enjoy

Between me and my wife we've had four dachshunds most recently a 5-month-old puppy. If I could give you one piece of advice if you're new to the breed get a few ramps and put them wherever they climb up/down like your couch and bed. IVDD is a common back ailment with dachshunds, and it can be life-threatening, but fortunately you can all but prevent it by just limiting continuous jumping from high places.

@@patriciaturner7156 Five weeks is a bit early. Puppies need to be with their mother until eight weeks and most breeders won't release a puppy until then. Good luck in your search though they are truly God's gift to us.

@@babayaga4320 ah..the old passive aggressive answer. I'm sure they appreciated that as much as the rest of us. Kittens are supposed to be with their mothers too until they're about 7 to 8 weeks out. But sometimes life doesn't work the way you think it's supposed to.

Then he whined and scooted across the floor and jumped on me and wagged his whole self. When his liver stopped working in his old age, he crawled under my bed to die. I cried buckets. I'll always miss that little dachsy baby.
