Shows you are a man honor and integrity actually. You accept your fate understanding what it means to learn those lessons and make yourself a better man. Hope life goes good for you and may God bless you. Most don't learn half of what you have and learned from it all. Good job brother 💪

While I would have said yes in a heartbeat, I would have missed out on a few genuinely good moments in life that I will never forget. Prison will mess you up in ways you’ll pay for years down the road if you let it, but just like war it also has moments that are good and can change your outlook on life. The meals made from smuggled ingredients, the softball games the few times we actually got to go out, the quiet in the unit on Saturday mornings waiting for your name to be called for visitation… all are memories burned into my soul forever. There was plenty of bad, but there was also the occasional break from the bad that made it survivable.

I spent 6 months in prison in another country and I learnt many things about myself and how to interact with people completely outside of my comfort zone. Principally how resourceful I could be with everything stacked against me, and how to make friends in an almost impossible situation. It mellowed me, it made me better. Hard lessons are often the best lessons.

Hiding the exculpatory evidence from me, I did 2+ years in Quebec city Canada detention prison and acquitted from the accusation because of unreasonable delay caused by de prosecution. The judge revising my case (civil compensatory law suite) concluded that all is OK and my time in a cage did not change anything for me, no damage, no psych. trauma, ...!
