Yeah I've noticed that the less "real" something looks, the better it does. Hyper realistic bluegill? No bites. 6inch wacky rig? Yeah easy.

For a wedge tail I am going to try the z-man mulletron swimbait, maybe a good alternative and much more affordable will pick some up and give them a try.

I ordered some too. Supposed to be here this week. We are in a deep cold front right now so there should be a slight "warm-up" coming afterwards :-) Gonna go drag some points with them.

It's a paddletail, aka a soft plastic swimbait. It's literally a swim bait. There are OTHER types of swim baits, but this is 100% a type of swim bait.
