My learnings from this interview - 1. Deepinder Goyal doesn’t care much about money. Probably that’s the reason the company is not making profits. Founders should care about money for both internal and external parties involved. You can’t be that casual with money related matters. To build trust you need to sensitive towards others’ money if not yours. 2. Deepinder said that he doesn’t have a long term goal for himself. Not a great founder to look upto. Every individual need to have a personal long term goal. It motivates your teams to enjoy the process of reaching to that goal. What I liked is that he was brutally honest! Also, loved when he said, culture is a decaying process and it needs to be enforced on every day basis. So true and a great learning.. Question I would have asked - What are you doing to make sure the people who have invested in Zomato IPO shares initially can recover their losses and how soon company would become profitable.

From 5:45 to 6:45 what he said is so true and relatable. I have been in private and start up space and many times the optics matter more than actual value. People are busy politicking rather than doing actual good work.
