For me it was too exhausting to think about how to earn money. So around 2009/2010 when I tried out the partner program I was also pretty soon noticing that it is burning me out. Just over-analyzed everything and then I was just becoming inactive. For a few years I am back again on KZbin and just doing it like in 2016 just for fun as my hobby and I am enjoying it. It's a different channel and just about the stuff I like - standing behind the camera instead in front and still noticing people are coming up to me to ask me if I'm Sven from BFD drives even more often than in the earlier days when I was the BattlefieldDoktor 😆 Nadine, your channel did run an entire evolution and revolution. As you may remember I am your first subscriber and it was so cool when you was chosen for that contest to get even more audience. You did some amateurish funny stuff, also with your sister, then later you started your travel adventures. So amazing! Envying you but of course I know it was all hard work and you described it very well. You took the opportunities. Also of course you've the talent 👍

Also the whole "youtube is a visual platform". I have to applaud to the diplomatic way of putting that. However while that is of course true it can be applied to anything these days. THE WORLD is a visual platform. Most people in the whole world are visual types. So if you look good naturally you'll get more reactions. It's just the way it is.

I started watching you when there was the whole 'youtube clique' and you were mainly a comedy channel. It's a good thing I like traveling AND comedy, though; as you made your switch to travel content, that interested me even more. I've been watching since 2008! One thing that comes to mind is; It's such a shame that we have no way to shunt this into the past, and let out past selves read it. Particularly right before the 'adpocalypse' a few years back. But I suppose that the same could be said of many things in life. ~~ My thought Re: your first comment would be: "No one cares (about how long a video took to prepare), but Other content creators.". I think we'd all consciously or unconsciously critique other creator's work, and be quite duly impressed when we're aware of how intensive some work would be, or a bit skeptical when some shortcuts were evident.

These are all very good tips to keep in mind. I agree that keeping your content friendly for all is very beneficial. That's why I try to keep my content PG. I agree too with what you were saying about changing up your content. As I've seen in the past decade, what people in general like tends to change over time, and having a little change without being too dramatic can add some spice into a KZbin channel. It's so cool that you have been around for 15 years (a few years longer than I have), and I look forward to the next 15 years of your channel!
