We are the same country..less Castles, More Polar Bears...Laddie. My Clan is Murray and we got wet in 1760....and farmed in Cape Breton Island...wore the kilt to Kirk and knew every song... I was seconded to the HLI when I was a tadpole .....273 years.

What tunes did the piper play? Are they meant to be the 78th Highlanders?

They re-create the 78th Highlanders aka Rosshire Buffs who were stationed in Halifax from 1869 to 1871. They also recreate the 3rd Brigade Royal Artillery who were also stationed in Halifax at the time. It's a great program run in conjunction with Parks Canada and the Halifax Citadel Society.
