150 Central Park Review - Royal Caribbean Cruise Food

Cruising is expensive and the costs can start to add up fast. Royal Caribbean Cruise food options are extensive and some have an additional cost. How do you choose which one to spend your time and money at? Today we are sharing our 150 Central Park review, which is New York themed restaurant on Royal Caribbean Cruise ships. We are going to tell you everything you need to know to decide if this restaurant is one you would want to spend your time and money at.
There are a lot of Royal Caribbean restaurants that are included in your cruise fare but some do cost extra. 150 Central Park is an additional charge for the three course meal. It is themed around New Yorks Cities fanciest restaurants. The mosaic as you enter is different on all the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships. The atmosphere here makes it great for a date night or special occasion. The shape of the restaurant is similar to all the restaurants in Central Park, it is long and thin. Royal Caribbean food does not disappoint and 150 Central Park lived up to its name.
A big part of our all of our Royal Caribbean cruise food reviews is the menu. For the menu it is a 3 course meal you get to choose one appetizer, entree and dessert.here is a good selection of seafood and different meats so everyone can find something. These are some of the menu items that were available on our sailing. For appetizers some of the choices you have are crispy berkshire pork belly, roasted spiced pumpkin bisque and roasted organic beet salad. Some of the entree options are pan seared halibut, duck duo, roasted tenderloin of beef for two which I have heard is amazing and would like to try sometime. For dessert a couple options are a hazelnut passion fruit bar and artisanal cheese selection. If you are looking for something special Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships have some great speciality dining it is just going to cost you extra.

Thank you for this review. We are going on our first Oasis class ship in two weeks and I hadn’t seen any reviews on this restaurant. I’m sure It’s sad not to have an ocean view when dining, but I’ve eaten in many MDRs and rarely snatched a table by the window. I will go to your prior videos for other reviews. Maybe there’s one or two we skipped previously on other ships. I love your videos because they are very precise without any loud music between narrative. Great job!

Samba is my favorite with 150 Central Park a close second. We get the 3 specialty restaurant package so that lowers the cost. We still went to a 4th specialty restaurant on our last trip. Chops is our other favorite restaurant. Giovanni's Grill is just not making it for us. We love the atmosphere and the location of Samba. We live close to Galveston so we are ok with the humidity.

Great review! Can you ask for extra appetizers or entrees at a specialty restaurant on royal? We have 4 nights on oasis of the sea next week. and will probably Try this or chops

You can get extra appetizers without an extra cost but usually you can only order one main. If you want a second it does cost extra. Hope you have a great cruise. Happy travels 🦩

Wow so sad that they downgraded the experience from the 8 course tasting menu. I’ve had the tasting menu a number of times on allure and oasis over the years. I was considering going again and I would have been super disappointed with a standard 3 course meal. Glad I settled on a Haven cruise.

Hopefully they bring it back. Right now with specialty restaurants I’m finding the price is going up but we are getting less. I’ve heard the Haven is really nice. I hope you have a great 🚢

We just sailed on Allure week of March 19th. As we had purchased an unlimited dining plan to try all the restaurants, 150 CP was one i was very much looking forward too. Unfortunately it turned out to be the biggest disappointment and the worst dinner of our trip. For us, it was obviously a 5 star menu but they had only 2 star chefs in the kitchen so the execution and resulting meals were pretty lack luster. Two examples are the crispy pork belly appetizer that was anything but crispy and not seasoned at all. Just a lump of fatty stewed meat with almost no flavor. The other was the awful excuse for lobster thermidor. My plate had 3 lobster shells filled with mushrooms in a congealed cream sauce and only two small bites of rubbery lobster on the whole plate. Some of our other meals on Allure were spectacular (Izumi Sushi) but 150 CP was not. We will not be purchasing the UDP next trip and only buy one or two of the dinners avoiding 150 CP. Food prep and presentation in the main dining room was far better without the significant upcharge.

Wow! So surprised to hear this and glad you shared that experience. Sailing Harmony of the Seas Nov 2022 and trying to figure out which three dining venues we want to try. My girlfriend and I purchased the 3 night dining package by the way. And I’ve heard so many good things about 150 Central Park. Could it be the chefs?

@@AronRoss72 Its absolutely the chefs. They are very understaffed and that includes chefs capable of the high end menu at 150CP.
