Adventures don't have to go as planned to still be an adventure. This long distance 3-day trip on my micro skiff was proof of that. From Panama City Beach Florida to Destin, Florida and back is more than 150 miles of adventure! Plenty to be had!

We live in north Florida right next to the itchitucknee river. Just got a few of the Bote lono aero kayaks and you are welcome to borrow one for a trip. We took them to crystal river, they are awesome. Our first comment was that we'd love to see one of your trips in one. Plus you can get a good night's rest sleeping in the bottom of them 😂. Awesome video Trip, thanks.

I would bet you could get a ridgerunner bridge hammok with its rain fly tied up on that boat. You could use a pole on the back supported by the platform and fab up a way for a pole to go through a small hole on the front deck and secured with aline going to the front ring. The hammok is made by Warbonnet, comes with a built in bug net (a true lifesaver) and you can get a rainfly that works konda like a bivvy sack for it, or make your own hammok tarp like I did. I went up the AT a few years ago with one and have loved it ever since. Haven't slept on anything hard outdoor since. Awesome trip and just subscribed.
@TripSmith

Excellent journey. Love the new microskiff. I started down that route but ended up with an older Maverick Center Console. I would suggest just embracing the intercoastal waterway. Even with my boat it's just better on the inside. The one nice thing is that up in the panhandle there's a lot of great fishing that's close to shore. Here in Tampa Bay area you got to go forever to get offshore fishing. Luckily inside the Bay there's some good bottom fishing, but the skiffs aren't the funnest hull when boating in washing machine conditions. Thanks for another great episode!
@TripSmith
@TripSmith 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bill! Yea I know it's better on the ICW but it's more exciting in the gulf ;) Yea, I hope to get something a little more setup to hide fishing tackle as this boat just doesn't have good storage for it. Then I can start fishing more. You're welcome!

I just about never subscribe. You are doing exactly what I want to do!!! I want to build a 13 foot skiff. I have very little experience on smaller boats in bays or inshore ocean runs. I would like to take the skiff out to the wrecks off the shoreline. 2 miles out. Is that reasonable on calm days? Am I crazy? I plan on building the FS13 skiff. I live in NJ. What size boat is the one in this video?

Is that a full grab rail in the skiff or did you cut the bottom off and mount it in your console? Building my own skiff and would love a response. Thank you!

wow man what a awesome video. i love the idea of going out on a boat and camping for a couple days. good editing man definitely quality. i got a 14 foot jon boat and it porpoises somtimes too if the weight isnt more up front. also the fuel consumption on these 2 strokes is pretty good. maybe the weight ratio made the boat plain or plane? differently increasing speed. anyways man love the boat great video
@TripSmith
@TripSmith 4 жыл бұрын
Haha glad you enjoyed it! Yea it had to have been the weight distribution ;) Take that jon boat camping!

key fob has key inside to open door. Get in truck and close doors. Hold broken key fob up to start button, put foot on brake, press start button with finger. Tundra will start. Also works when fob battery is dead. Check you tube video

Live in Columbus outside of Ft Benning. We have alot of discount military gear. I have like 12 no see ems nets that go over a military cot. Things are huge and wud go completely over your whole tarp and you all the way to the floor. What is your address where you recieve gear from viewers and I will send you one. Dont have to use it but keep it because you may find a use for it.
