Trip, I've got over 230 springs mapped out along the Suwanee (mix of private and public land, from first magnitudes to small boils). I'm working on getting every spring in North Florida mapped out onto a public GPX file since it seems impossible to find a reliable single source map. A lot of the data come from various sources... USGS, old topo maps, etc. We did a five day Suwanee paddle, 70 miles, still didn't even get to a quarter of them! The motor will help, but even spending 30 minutes at each spring...you'd need a month of perfect weather to visit them all!
@TripSmith5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it does seem impossible to find a good map... You would need a lot of time to visit them all, but I'd be more interested in hitting the biggest ones on that trip. Let me know when you get a map together! WOUld love to check it out.

Nice 16 Classic! Good to see you on one. I have a 15’4” Highsider. Not as nice as yours but very effective for Fishing smaller bays and back country marsh areas. The nice thing about Panama cities bay system, is that it’s always easy to launch and stay on the leeward shores out of heavy winds. There is always a pleasant section for a Gheenoe adventure. It amazes me why there are so few of us with Gheenoes in the panhandle. I imagine it’s because when you are coming from a paddle craft background, a gheenoe is actually stepping up in speed, stability and overall luxury. Where as one who has never even owned a kayak would give a big “ hell no” to the idea of a little Ghee. Lol. Man are they missing out. Love your stuff! I met you a long time ago at Sunjammers water sports. We need to go sight fish some reds.

Nice vid. I do appreciate people that can have a good time by themselves and dont need a crowd. Seems the most amazing things happen when your by yourself. Some of most amazing days fishing come when there are no witnesses (for me anyway) Please please please tether the killswitch to your wrist or belt loop. You happen to fall out underway and you have zero chance of getting back in the boat and may have a very long swim (if your lucky) while your noe continues to another county. Be smart.
@TripSmith5 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, it can be amazing to enjoy the outdoors by yourself at times... You are absolutely correct about the kill switch. I didn't notice it before starting on this trip, but the kill switch tether was to short. On the upcoming video (few days) I've extended it so I can wear it while underway.

Another item that would be nice to have on your trips is called a Spacekey. great for charging devices. has it's own light and caution flashing light built in to it and much more. definitely great to have when out and about and your phone or gopro dies or need to jump start your car.

Cool! I do have multiple batter banks that I carry with me, but none of them can jump start my vehicle lol Thanks for the suggestion!

Instead of an emergency paddle, a nice set of oars would be cool. I’ve always had a set on my jon boat. Gotta get new ones soon.

Great video mate, should make it a lot easier in case you want to take your iSup somewhere a lot quicker and inflate it and mess about before deflating and packing it up to take home later. great content as always mate thanks for sharing.

Trip, That's the way to do it man. We know the real reason you got the gheenoe was to so you can play music for more people and goats on the water... :)

Tripp, a couple of quick thoughts....get a velcro ankle wrap to connect your kill switch to. Second get a camera mount for your midship stand up bar so you won't don't have to have both hands occupied. Coach

Good thinking Ron! I will be using a tether on my next trip and I like the ankle idea.... Working on more camera angles as well. Thanks Coach!
