We have waaay more powerful automotive motors in the market right now. Newer trams could've been introduced with these motors to run on roads without slowing down the traffic. Trams are much cheaper and cleaner to run than buses

Odisha is almost 2.5 times larger than West bengal, You have less than half of the population on that land than us, You have lots more sea access area than us You never faced any kind of partition issues and refugee issues like us But still your gdp is less than half of West bengal and growth rate is lesser than us and even lesser per capita in reality.....just do math and calculate per capita of both state....Godi is not doing census otherwise all these truth will come into spotlight 😉 There is nothing to be jealous 😂😂..my exams are over that is why I am passing some time and having fun with you poor fellows😂😂😂

I think that is good decision by West Bengal government to stop trams because of current situation government should start building under ground metro by selling or leasing costlier land parcel of tram so people life can improve, they can do this like hongkong done government - private partnership on lucrative land on below levels metro and on surface large comercial property.

A City must preserve these great, heritage trams for all tourists who want to experience a different way of travel leisurely, and enjoy. It's not about commuting passengers against deadlines. Can't a City afford this? Easy to stop but benefits are great if continued but with modernization.

Very important ! Why indian railway don't include high platforms for level boarding under amrit bharat scheme. There is still 2 feet gap between train floor and platforms. I searched web and found no response or government regulations. If they are spending 1000s of crore in redevelopment Why they are leaving this important issue un addressed. Developed countries don't leave much gap between train and platforms. I am expecting a video from you so that government can be made aware about it.
