I put a built 440 in it. The 400 had decent power but I wanted more.

i had a 72 with a semi built 318/4bbl with a 727 turning 3:23-1 gears. at 5000rpm speedo was pegged at 120 but the sun tach went up to 7500. i kinda dont even want to know how fast i was going.

V1 V2... VR Rotate, Gear up.... Braking at 120mph is rather .... interesting... nothing much happens for a while, then a smell of burning rubber fills the car, then the pedal gets mushy, then you start slowing down... Motor Trend did a story on "Doubling the Double Nickel (55pmh) speed limit" great article in the late 1970's. Once they got up to 110mph they nailed the brakes, and described the difference smells each car could generate. Seems the Fords emitted 'burnt chocolate chip cookies' scent

@jimifed27985 жыл бұрын
Hermon, You have the need for speed. But think twice about going that fast on a road that has drainage ditchs running along side the road , if you leave it you may flip over
