I love everything autoalex. I sometimes get a bit lost in the continuity recently. Would love to have more multiple part episodes for project's and just break down 10-12 projects or challenges per year spaced over a few weeks and a couple of specials for Christmas or car festivals etc

We all know Taylor is blowing the budget by a lot, and the right answer for this challenge would obviously be a 1.9tdi passat for 500 or less as a towing vehicle and then try to get the best caravan you can get for the rest preferably watertight which would basically be my only criteria by which I'd choose something.

About Alex' small scale "camper", I love small campers! I got a 1956 Fire departments pump trailer, its barely 2 meters on the inside, but it only weighs like 500kilos. Previous owner built the inside, with a bed, Solar system, some LED lighting and a radio with some extra storage underneath the bed. and not some shitty ass air mattress, its got a proper foam mattress. Super comfortable to sleep in, and with the little weight not a pain in the ass to move.

before checking the EGR valves on the L322, check the intercooler hoses for splits - it's a known issue and causes all sorts of issues with fuelling and even causes gearbox issues because the rev-matching goes haywire.

I must admit that I was concerned for the channel as the past few videos haven't really engaged me, to the point that I nearly skipped this one... but I'm glad I didn't and can honestly say this has been one of the best AutoAlex videos in a while. Not just because of the content of the video, but because it felt like a classic AutoAlex episode from the channel's first 12 months. There were no over the top antics, it gave a proper 'before' look at the caravans/cars, and it remained fully engaging by showing some of the work being done in the same video. My complaint about the Peugeot in the last series was that there was no information about it other than the carpets were soaked, and it meant I didn't really care about it. Its easy to forget that on a channel like this, the cars are characters in their own right, so the focus should be on them as much as on the presenters. It's much easier to feel connected to these cars / caravans when you get a more thorough overview of them, and keeps you engaged when you see it the work being done, rather than just seeing a final product a few minutes later. Fair play to Alex, he really did get stuck in, and I suspect this is the 'real' him rather than the persona. If so, I'm all for it - this is the Alex I subscribed for. While I have nothing against Rory, more often than not three is a crowd, and the Top Gear style videos should be once every few months rather than every series. Rory excels behind the camera with his brilliant videography, and these videos are vastly superior as a twosome. Despite this video being 30mins long, there was absolutely no filler in here (excluding the sponsored segment, but is a necessary requirement in 2024 so it doesn't count). Great work. I hope this trend continues and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.

exactly, ive been saying for ages rory should be behind the camera as hes just not that natural in front of it everything feels forced from him and tries to hard to be liked. odd appearances here and there fine but when they tried the trio for abit it didnt work for me esp the french hot hatch challange. however Alex and Taylor is exceptional together, seeing as the other 2 channels also have 2 hosts this would make a great road trip of the 3 channels and 6 bodged caravans, esp as ethan is a big fan of woodwork he would of excelled at DIYing a caravan
