I hope you’re going to do a follow up video on this where you make it a bit better. You could raise the pew up so Jack can actually roll over. Add a fold out section to the top of the pew so it’s wider for Ethan to sleep on, maybe add some better padding to it. Definitely add the legs to the pull out table. Have a working fridge for the bacon and possibly a couple of beers. Great video, keep it up gents.

Class video lads. I am not an interior designer by any means but I have some ideas for space. Put your kitchen on a roller so it can be pulled out of the van. Elevate the pew as much as you can on some blocks (enough for you both to be able to roll over in bed) and add a platform that you can fold out from the bench of the pew so there’s more space for sleep. Guys, loved the one day camper and I've been thinking about building something like this myself. Here are a few suggestions (i.e. this is where you f**ked up) - Remove the raised floor and store whatever you have under there on the floor of the van (no boxes). When you get to your destination, move that stuff to the front seats. In place of the pew, have a fold down piece of lumber that runs down the passenger side of the van. You could make it out of something like a narrow bathroom door. Mount the hinge with enough space underneath and so that the lumber will hinge up flush, but low enough so you're not hitting your head on the roof. On the driver's side, instead of the three cabinets build a box that slides out of the back of the van. Then, Ethan could sleep there and be able to sit up and turn over. For mattresses - look for a "Tri Fold Mattress", these are about 75" x 24" x 4" and while I wouldn't call them comfortable they're a damn sight better than what you had. You can also fold them into a chair shape and sit on the floor. For additional space and privacy (and so Jack can fulfill his fantasy about s**ting outside) get some magnetic shower curtains. These have the magnets at the bottom - you turn them upside down and use the magnets to attach to the open rear liftgate. This would give you about 4x4 feet to work standing up, but out of the worst weather. Looking forward to seeing Vamper 2.0. Best of luck and thanks for the videos.

Awesome video! I was hoping you would do a video like the focus camper again, :D You could put a sheet of wood on hinges and attached to the seat base part of the pew with some legs also on hinges, then at night you can fold it out to make the base wider for sleeping on. You can also put the pew on blocks to raise it up so Jack can sleep on his side, but not so high that Ethan can't sleep on his side anymore! lol Have a great Christmas!
