Looks pretty. And has the added benefit of only being 17.6 times more wasteful of energy than a flat array of LEDs. But hey, all you need do is mould the arms with a tiny aerofoil blade and it will push enough air to cool its own motor and provide good convection to the room like an old-fashioned ceiling fan...

But it's not actually in 3D.. the blades turn through a flat plane, not a spherical shape.. so it's just creates a flat image. Putting entire thing in a case and removing the air would reduce noise and vastly improve the safety of the device.. Liquid cooling system needed for the enclosed motor though.
