The video is straight to the point and lasts what it needs to. If a youtuber made this video you'd have a vlog of the build, lots of cuts, intense drama music, you know the drill. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I miss the charm in videos like this where people act like people and not like celebrities.

yeah... not sure about the decision not to have a squeeze lever handle as an emergency shut-off. Since it's controlled entirely by the central panel, if you fell over or lost hold of it, it might rocket around and hit something. Doesn't look like the entire contraption weighs enough on its own to resist the force.

I own one of these. Just bought the newest model from Lowes a few days ago. It’s an absolutely amazing and easy to use garden variety military grade lawn leaf blower. So far, it’s only exploded once and cost me over $1800 in jet fuel, but that’s expected from such a high quality lawn care device. I can’t wait to buy myself a second one next week, just after I finish getting the reconstructive surgery done on my body!!! 10/10 Great product 👍

One, that at some point it doesn't make sense to get a more powerful blower, as power to move objects must be dropping off exponentially with increasing distance, so at some point stop chasing power and move the nozzle closer to the object. A friend of mine used to work as the head mechanic at a golf course (group of courses, really) and he would bring home their leaf blowing products in the fall so we could do our properties extra quick. The back back blower were great, but the lawn mower style REALLY blew. No jet engine, but then they didn't light anything on fire, either!

The shape of fuel storage is like a triangle 📐 that is why you see the fuel level dropping faster. It is because the top of a triangle is the narrow area

The new RTX 4090 TI cooler looks great. Surely a step up from the previous leaf blower. Now we just need to find a way to power it. My local power plant said they already have to power one of those cards and are at the limit. So i have to think of something else.

I've seen these engines used to propel model airplanes. I've even seen a guy use three of them to propel his car. But, I've never seen one used as a leaf blower on steroids before. That's pretty cool and you get points for originality.

@@ohioman4646 Not really, jet exhaust cool off extremely quickly due to the quick expansion of gas, and air is an very poor conductor of heat. This is why contrails form behind planes at high altitudes, the exhaust from combustion is water and CO2, and the water in the exhaust freeze to ice within a couple of feet of the jet engine. Water cannon is definitely the better crowd control. Reasonably safe and humane, while still effective at breaking up crowds.

It's a good demonstration why the M1 Abrams is not combat effective in a real war. On a full complement of gas, it gets 13 hours of idle power vs 40+ for a diesel. That means you get one night of overwatch and by morning your tank is an 83 ton small arms shelter.

@@captainotto they have tried to put an auxiliary power unit, a little diesel generator on the back, but it suffers reliability problems. Some in service have substituted it with a heavy duty lead battery. That's why it never went to Afghanistan, except for a small marine contingent which went mostly unused

I'm so glad someone else noticed this. The frequency of the jet's sound encountered and exceeded the sample rate that was recorded, basically going into ultrasonic. Absolutely amazing!

@@Technotoadnotafrog It also used a fair amount of fuel for such a short run time. I think the hardest part about flight for individual persons is the energy storage. Iron Man's suit wouldn't be possible without that tiny reactor of his that can fit in the palm of one's hand.

Designing planes was never simple, it took many years and knowledge in fluid mechanics, and it still requires it’s pilots to have an extreme knowledge of the sky in order not to die because the wind was not blowing in the right direction or because they didn’t realize they were upside down when flying in a cloud.

Yeah whatever this design is, if they scaled it up to 13ft in diameter (apparently scientifically the optimal size for a jet engine cus of science) then that thing could blast fuck out of anything!
