Big congratulations to Dallas, she is a sweetheart!! So glad to hear the bundle business is doing well and shows when you do it right it all comes back. As I grow my bundle business I'm so glad I purposely did not sell all my firewood last year to have a better starting point for this year. That has allowed me to cover my inventory for the business. Thanks Darrin!

Without a doubt inventory serves as a great insurance policy. I blew threw so much wood in January and February that I was sourcing ash to keep up. That felt like work and wasn’t as much fun. The current pace of 200 bundles per month I can handle but when I was up to 400-500 I was struggling. That being said, I never missed a delivery and now I have a more steady flow.

I haven’t put out a lot of content here lately . Word has gotten out that I work on small engines and I keep my word and charge a very far price . I had 5 mowers show up in one day .

Nice video. Was that stone capping an old spring? We’ve been slowly replacing old stone field drains. They use to dig a trench and through rocks in. Then back fill it. The water would follow the rocks and the fields would dry out. Now a 100 plus years later with bigger equipment we’ve distributed the drains and have replaced them. Anyway I’ve found places where a spring would come into the drain or where trenches merged capped with a large stone. Thanks for sharing and congratulations to Dallas on her graduation. Best of luck to her in her future. We know she’s not afraid of hard work, so she’ll be just fine.

To my knowledge the rock was not strategically placed but I don’t know for sure. I really didn’t run into many rocks at all given I was on a PA mountain. That is an interesting thing you mention as it is like a primitive French drain. As for Dallas she is pretty excited these days and I will make sure she sees your post.
