Yes...i agree 100percent. I grew up shooting a sears & robuck 22 my dad bought in 1931 for $7.00. Safe as could be. Still have it and shoots very well too.

I still have my first .22 Dad bought me for Christmas when I was 8, it still can hit a squirrels eye at 25 yards. Its an old Sears Roebuck. Nice video, thanks my friend...

Nice video Alec!! I can remember the Cooey 39 being sold for sub $20. in the mid 60's. My first Remington Nylon 66 in Apache Black was about $70. from Simpsons at Yonge & Queen in Toronto. Honest Ed's on Bloor West sold a steel frame .22 single shot for $5.00 ....no license required, The good ole days.

Hey there Alec ! My oh my! Just watched the video of your restorations of them older irons of yesterday. My goodness I thought I was watching myself. I’ve done all of that stuff too with many of the old irons and can’t hardly get enough of the restoration pride that comes from it! Lol And I must tell you that you missed your calling in regards to the Hunter training program in regards to the safety’s and there functions that them old rifles were made with. Very simple & very effective. You nailed it my friend. Enjoyed the video and keep doing what you’re doing! Bruce

I have a single shot rifle like yours but I think it was sold by Western Auto not sure the actual manufacture but I agree it is very safe due to having to be cocked before it's ready to fire.
