Savage Model 24 - Classic Over Under - .22/ 410 - Review and Test

In this Video I test and review my Savage Model 24 - Over/Under - .22/.410.
This Rifle was my fist boyhood gun. It was given to me by my Grandfather, and was actually his elderly friends, childhood rifle.
That is 2 full childhoods of joy this rifle has provided so far.
I am hopeful one my kids will also experience having it as their childhood rifle.

Oh buddy, I miss my MDL 24 in 22 mag 20 gauge.. I sold it to fund a 270 for more meat in the pot. I just found your channel and am enjoying it!.. I'm a sailor and Ak fisher too 🙂

Production began in 1938 ('38-'50 for Stevens Arms, '50-2010 for Savage). There were many variants produced in particular periods and this may hep you track down the age of your firearm a little more accurately. Hope this helps. Don't bother with the new Model 42, just my opinion. It will never shoot as well as your bonded barrels do. Hopefully your brass doesn't go into the sea.
