This video is from the archival Manuscript and Videos left behind by Narayan Joshi a shagird of Ahmedjan Thirakwa. The video will help to study the compositions of Ahmedjan Thirakwa. It would not be out of place to mention that these compositions are exclusively that of Ahmedjan Thirakwa as he received from Ustad Munir Khan. They represent the tradition of the Tabla of the Delhi, Ajarada, Lucknow and Farrukhabad Gharana.

I think this is a great resource and so important to understand what the masters were exploring in their playing. Thank you for your efforts in this and for sharing these gems. Secondly, Ahmedjan Thirakwa used to improvise variations on the go. As these variations have not been documented by Narayan Joshi I have tried to bring out here. It is for this reason that I had to read them.
