The area is shitty. Behind the homes are your average run of the mill homes worth no more than a few hundred K. Theres a busy intersection directly Infront. To get to where the boat is, you have to cross the busy two way intersection. You have no privacy and the home is area is loud. The builder from Massachusetts out him self into the hole and is desperately trying to recover or attempt to break even. It's been on the market in and off for more than 6 years. No one purchased the home when it went to auction. The bank appraised this home at 60 million. Build claims to have spent 120 million. Which I dont doubt. But did he really need to have every inch if that home made in the worlds most expensive wood snd have 1 million dollar chandilleres? At any point the home has a property tax of 2 million a year. Which breaks down to $5,500 daily just on tax! Give or take a few bucks. The home is just over build and spent on foolishly without thought.

Sorry but you sound very envious and bitter. I have a condo in Pompano Beach just over the bridge at the Hillsboro Inlet lighthouse and I walk daily along Hillsboro Mile enjoying the view of beautiful homes and magnificent yachts. You say it is a "busy two way intersection", sorry but there are NO Intersections along Hillsboro Mile and it is not busy at all!!! Behind the homes there is just ocean, so not sure what average run of the mill homes you are talking about. Across the front of the home is the Inlet channel where all the yachts and other boats are docked, and on the other side of the channel there are very beautiful expensive homes.I am not sure about the history of the home or the builder so I will not comment on that. I would encourage yourself and anyone else to take a drive if you can't walk it and judge for yourself. It is a magnificent area!!!
