It is recommended to stay there during all the lengthening phase and go back around 1year later to remove the nail when your bone is completely hardened and formed to fill the gap of the distraction phase

@@grayokay you can even fly back the day after the surgery but I don't think it's a good idea to go through the process by yourself. If you have any problem during the lengthening they will know how to face and prevent the problem, also the team physiotherapists are specialized in this and they use some techniques that you can't do at home. I think it's better to stay there, more or less it will be just 2/3months of your life
