What is your overall recommendation on laptop coolers now after this video? Last time you personally recommended the Llano V10 and the IETS GtT600V2 for the best cooler
@danielm.5952 ай бұрын
I'm looking into those powerful coolers to buy together with my new notebook later this year. Was looking into Llano, but this one seems to be better and cheaper, and the noise isn't all that bad.

Hello, i've purchased this one as I need to try run it free using usb c power alone and 3.0 usb hub is much better than 2.0 with wall outlet i guess that would be required for proper usb controller bandwith (read/write speeds say on portable usb drive/ssd) . Any updates on which stock foam (illano / iets stock foams) fits this one even better for more of a perfect 'seal' and if that experiment resulted in 2/3 degree further reductions or more in the temp department according to yours tests? Thanks Also, I have a Aero 15 gigabyte laptop with side and middle vents at the back so trying Klim turbo frost first (currently enroute) but if this doesn't solve my 94/97 degree (almost) throttle territory then i'll give Illano V10 a try [skipping Illano V13 as suggested by you due to being older and V10 being imrpoved model/less noisy etc better with temps] as i don't think Flydigi BS1 would work for my model's vents??

I got this cooler along with V10, V10 seems better already, I cant even power this one using USB Type C...
@EpicTyphlosionTVАй бұрын
Hotter temps, but better test scores? Is this cooler from bizzaro world?
@jlb468511 күн бұрын
yeah there's gotta be some other variable at play that was overlooked because all scores below throttle limits should be the same within margin of error.

looking to buy a cooler currently, what's the noise of each cooler at max speed, i want something quiet, are you saying the klim turbofrost is quieter than the IETS GT600V2?

Hi , thanks for video and your work. It would be nice if you can also show temps and noise level comparison results for top5 (iets, liano, bs1, klim etc) but with 50% and 75% of max RPM. I beleive there are a lot of people like me that looking for sweetspots ratio (efficient cooling without airplane noise). Thx in advance

So need a opinion i have a helios 300 just had to replace the sdd not even 2 years of owning it because it got burnt up this thing is a furnace not trying to burn my new ssd this pad or the llano pad which would be the better option to grantee my laptop stays cool

I want a cooling pad with a cooling radiator that sucks hot air and push it cold, and it doesn't care about room temperature.

@@UltraObamaOn desktop PCs, fans directly dissipate heat from PC components, while others are designed to blow out hot air and blow in FRESH, not cold air. In essence, this is not cooling, it is ventilation, people are mistaken in thinking that air can be cooled with fans (this is physically impossible). Now that we have figured out how to effectively dissipate heat, we need to project the same thing onto a laptop. And it is extremely difficult to achieve such a result on all laptops, because the laptop is too compact, closed and thin. I will say a spoiler that it is not the price of the coolerpad that determines its effectiveness, but the design of the laptop (ideally, it should be metal and with a perfectly ventilated bottom panel). In all cases, gaming laptops have holes for coolers that take fresh air from the bottom and blow hot air out the sides and back, but the rest of the laptop is covered by the bottom panel. In this case, if you do not have a metal case, then the coolerpad is ABSOLUTELY useless and will not reduce even 5 degrees Celsius. If you have a metal case, then it will help to significantly reduce the temperature of the entire laptop, but you must be sure that the air flow is strong enough and a large enough fan is used to cover the entire area of the lower metal panel. But there are more interesting laptops, such as msi sword/katana, where the coolers are covered by the bottom panel, but all the components of the laptop such as CPU and GPU are almost completely open, which is actually not bad and gives both advantages and disadvantages. The disadvantage of this design is that the flow of fresh air to the coolers is hampered, but the gpu and cpu are directly ventilated. In the case of msi, coolerpads that blow fresh air directly onto the bottom panel (for example, klim turbofrost) significantly reduce the temperature, because the air directly dissipates the temperature on the heat pipes of the laptop, and the built-in fans help it in this by simultaneously blowing out hot air similar to a desktop PC. If msi had a metal case, I would be sure that we could see -20, -25 degrees Celsius, but there are not many such laptops. Another cool feature of the coolerpad is dust protection, this will greatly extend the life of the laptop.
